I have no idea what you are talking about. I am soooooo out of the loop fashionwise!

GentleOtter · 05/06/2009 18:01

What are jeggings?

IamAlsoADreamerOfChocolate · 05/06/2009 18:02

What are jeggings?

southeastastra · 05/06/2009 18:02

are they the jean/leggin things?

Fimbo · 05/06/2009 18:04

My dd (nearly 11) has them. She is super skinny and they look good. I doubt they would look nice on anyone above a size 8 but perhaps ok under tunics.

PenelopePitstops · 05/06/2009 18:07

NO NO NO they are vile

FigmentOfYourImagination · 05/06/2009 18:07

size 12.

BLOODY NUMLOCK

Tidey · 05/06/2009 18:08

Never heard that word before. Almost as bad as 'skort'. I think the ones in that picture are dreadful, but then I don't much like leggings of any variety.

pointydog · 05/06/2009 18:09

how coem people who wear them can't explain what they are?

themoon · 05/06/2009 18:10

Only for people under the age of 20 and less than a size 8 I'd say. Oh and you need legs at least 36 inside leg.

Meet the above criteria and there is a slim chance, VERY slim chance, you might look ok in them.

mrsmaidamess · 05/06/2009 18:11

I like the style, but not the wet look. It will date v. quickly IMO.

Marne · 05/06/2009 18:12

jeggings

The main reason i like them is because i like skinny jeans but i find them a bit uncomfortable and tight IYKWIM, so thought 'jeggings' would be a bit more comfortable.

I hate the name 'jeggings' too .

I Now I've seen the 'denim' ones I prefer the wet look ones. Those Top Shop ones should be caled 'Deminique' or something as they only bear a passing resemblence to denim

KingRolo · 05/06/2009 18:21

Vile.

The look like pants that hate women.

southeastastra · 05/06/2009 18:21

they're just real skin tight jeans aren't they?

anyway like them

LadyPinkofPinkerton · 05/06/2009 18:22

I am going to say no based on the stupid name of said item.

notyummy · 05/06/2009 18:32

They are for the lithe, and mainly for the young (21 and under/students). Kate Moss may be able to carry them over that age....but not many people are Kate-like.

Depends on your attitude and what you wear them with as well - also, if you are apple rather than pear shaped (i.e with big thighs) you may stand a chance.

Basically, there are a lot more flattering clothes out there than these IMHO.

Ivykaty44 · 05/06/2009 18:38

thoses denim style jeggings - look to me like wooly tights for a three year old.

PenelopePitstops · 05/06/2009 21:11

ok with a tunic you MAY be able to carry it off, but dont substitute them for trousers, they arent!

suwoo · 05/06/2009 21:14

I saw them today when browsing the maternity dept in Topshop. I was and .

mrsruffallo · 05/06/2009 21:15

Sorry, but I don't like them at all

fishie · 05/06/2009 22:17

they are much better than 3/4 black leggings from primark.

i seem to be wearing a pair from american apparel, but i got them mainly because they are fleecy inside and my house is cold.
