I need a new pair and always buy the brownish khaki ones but thinking about having some silver ones this year, what are you all having?

New ones are white, but also have bronze, blue and black. I've just discovered ones with red lips over them and I want them [stamps feet]

FigmentOfYourImagination · 03/06/2009 20:51

I like these Fitflops

reducedfatkettlechip · 03/06/2009 20:52

I've got some lovely Madrid Papillio stripy ones this season which I love and go with everything as they have lots of colours in them. Plus navy, white and chocolate brown.

Silver, you say?

Silver, you say? Off to trawl ebay

reducedfatkettlechip · 03/06/2009 20:53

oops. got carried away.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 03/06/2009 20:54

I like these too

And these, I'm embarrassingly partial to a bit of flipflop bling

I prefer the funkier coloured birkies

Fimbo · 03/06/2009 20:58

I want black patent ones. T J Hughes had them for £20 but have none now online. Don't live anywhere near a Hughes either.

FigmentOfYourImagination · 03/06/2009 21:05

Oh I REALLY like these

BEAUTlFUL · 03/06/2009 21:34

I read the sizing info on birkenstock.co.uk, and I think my Birks (I nearly typed Bricks then by accident, which might actually describe them better) are the right fit. But UGH, they're fugly.

I've worn them in the garden now so I can't take them back, so I'm vaguely thinking of customising them! Would that be a bad idea? I thought I could paint them with acrylic paint... Like zebra stripes or summink... Or stick crystals on. Is that madness?

Really, they couldn't look worse than they do now. They are SO unglamorous, it's depressing me. The gold isn't lovely, bright gold, it's a dull, vaguely metallic beige. I look like a robotic vegan.

Figment I am liking that website! And they do international delivery! Thank you. I love the second pair you linked to.

RamblingRosa · 04/06/2009 09:44

I've had silver every year for a while now. I love them. They go with everything.

andiem · 04/06/2009 09:46

I have silver, pink, paisley pattern and
black patent

EyeballshasBackBoobs · 04/06/2009 09:50

Black and white Madrids and white and pink Gizehs here. Am considering Fitflops this year though. Are they comfy to walk in? I'm finding my Madrids a bit of a struggle this year.

DomesticBlobess · 04/06/2009 11:57

Have my first pair of Birkis - they are red patterned Papillo ones - love them and a bargain at £10 bought virtually brand new off ebay in the depths of winter.

Always thought they were for aging hippies but I then noticed that the women I consider stylish were wearing them...

DarrellRivers · 04/06/2009 12:39

Thanks for the TKMaxx tip
Am now proud owner of a purple patent pair for £20

noddyholder · 04/06/2009 12:43

bronze so comfy

Nappyzoneisabeetrootrunner · 04/06/2009 12:49

ok so in tk max do they only have madrids or various?

weepootle · 04/06/2009 14:07

Finally went for the silver, £26 delivered from ebay, thanks all.

Pale green and a purply-pink. I want silver ones now after reading this thread! Must get to TKMaxx

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 06/06/2009 08:16

TK Maxx Cheltenham had Madrids and also the ones with 2 straps.

They had lots of mens Birks too, they were £24.99, so still a fab price.

confusedatadge · 06/06/2009 12:34

i went in today they were all size 7 and 8 - huge!
