What shoes/boots/trainers/sandals do you wear? and with what? (style, make, that kind of thing).

I need some more shoes, and have no inspiration. My brain has just stopped working.

Inspire me please

madam - you critise my shoes and then say you shop at birkenstock and boden?!!!!! now that is ugly!!!

seriously i challenge anyone to try these on and then tell me what they think - you need to see them on. and they are so not girly i would call these basic go with everything wear everyday shoes. would never wear on a night out.

it was not the beauty but the practicalness i was pointing out.

Washersaurus · 27/05/2009 21:06

I wear either:-

Holey suede Campers

Holey Rocket Dog pumps

If it rains I wear a leather pair of Campers (which are bit too bulky for my taste these days)

Until they wore out I wore my Birkenstocks in the summer

I have a pair of Hunter wellies for other misc activities (probably the only footwear I have that don't have holes in)

and yes, I'm skint!

BunnyLebowski · 27/05/2009 21:08

Converse Converse and more Converse for me. Always the high top ones. I have pink, white, gold and

these Sailor Jerry ones

For rare nights out I wear

In summer birkies or flipflops. NEVER crocs!

BunnyLebowski · 27/05/2009 21:09

love the poison converse bunny!!! perhaps not good in my profession but I do like them!

Are you a medic pavlov?

I love them, they're my favourite shoes ever!

Even at work (a smart office) my signature look is a fitted top, really good wide-ish leg black trousers and my cons!

cocolepew · 27/05/2009 21:18

these are the boots I wear, but in black.

pavlovthecat · 27/05/2009 21:21

coco - LOVE those boots

They are very comfy. You can get mid calf or knee highs. I'm going to get the brown in the winter.

dairymoo · 27/05/2009 21:26

Medium length chocolate Uggs in winter.
Black and white converse in spring/autumn.
Silver birkenstocks in summer.

Ocassional outings in black Prada ballet pumps and leather Rainbow flip flops thrown in for good measure.

pavlovthecat · 27/05/2009 21:28

diarymoo oh prada how very nice!

whyme2 · 27/05/2009 21:36

I wear my Sketchers a lot, and my dunlops, which are very similar to converse. In winter it is boots or trainers.
Lurve those boots, definately on my list.

dairymoo · 27/05/2009 21:42

They were actually given to me by a friend who never wore them.
Yes that's right.
Never wore Prada.
I don't get it either, but happily skipped away with pretty shoes tucked under my elbow.

Bergaus walking boots or Huntress wellies for dog walking (depending on rain levels and grass/wheat height).

Birkenstocks, 6 pairs thereof, in summer for out and about.

Flip flops (Accessorize, I think), 2 pairs, around the house or garden in summer

Duo boots for winter - don't like them but they were the only thing wide enough to fit my freaky feet

Ecco shoes, 3 pairs, for days when it is too warm for boots but too cold for Birkenstocks

anabella

they are shit

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 27/05/2009 23:39

pav, please resist all this good press that the Birkies are getting. Silver, patent, whatever. They are horrid.

Converse are alright (if you like that sort of thing).

Wedges are must-have. Ditto ballet flats.

Sandals with straps around the ankle are everywhere this year but unless you have a 36" inside leg then, I think, they make legs look stumpy shorter.

pavlovthecat · 27/05/2009 23:45

Duchesse My mother wore birkies...i am not entirely convinced on them, but some kind of sandals, yes I need (not silver i might add!).

I am going to buy some wedge shoes tomorrow, and probably a pair of dark blue converse boots if they do such a colour, and I might get another paid of 3 inch court type shoes (you know like the peep-toe style, but without the peep toe).

Do I sound fashionable enough? Along with my new Citizens of Humanity jeans? .

Oh and DH has said he will buy me those Fly boots, in brown, and knee high but I can't have em until winter !! - but...he also said he had a pair of Fly trainers (dont recall them) and they were not the best quality. I reminded him none of his shoes last, but is their quality ok

Brown leather ballet pumps with jeans (look at bit more chunky than flimsy ones)

white really flat sole trainers with combats

sometimes brown boots with a medium stilleto heel with my jeans.

Flipflops with cropped trousers in better weather.

cocolepew · 28/05/2009 08:04

my Birkies are lovely.

mrsmaidamess · 28/05/2009 10:27

I loathe these, with veiny feet poking out Yuck
