TOAST, anyone?

Have scanned the free mailer and decided that I can sort of see myself in some of it this summer; am slim 10/12, 5'5" but greying at the temples and want to look sort of chilled boho, but not sad ethnic . My normal style is very classic and probably a tad boring. Is toast a load of tut or stylish - votes please!!!

Mine haven't shrunk, and I think you might be ok. I have plenty of room in my mediums.

Bolter, I have some Chie Mihara shoes, they are amazingly comfy. There is a shop on ebay where they sell the end of season styles at bargain prices (well, as long as you don't get sucked into a bidding war!). They don't have stuff all the time though, I'll try to find a link.
Love the other stuff you've linked too.
That's kind of why I don't mind waiting for whatever is left in the sales, I usually like everything anyway!

beehive-i am a LARGE 14 and i have medium and they are fine honest

BeehiveBaby · 07/05/2009 23:04

Brill . I am a pretty true 14 at the moment really, just getting used to it though!

Be very wary about ordering this. It looks lovely on the page (particularly in the red or the blue, less so in the white) but washes v. badly. I impulse bought one of these last year along with two other Mners, and all of us foudn they went v. twisted and mis-shapen after one wash. And the fabric in mine gave way under the arms quite quickly. For that amount of money, I'd expect much better quality, tbh.

Thanks for that frogs-what a shame(and annoying), it looks so lovely too, did you complain?

Poppity · 08/05/2009 12:51

I think this is the ebay shop if you're interested.
They don't seem to have anything at the moment, but I bought a delicious pair of Chie Miharas from them in January for about £15 altogether!

BeehiveBaby · 08/05/2009 20:20

Well my churidars came today and look totally minging on, I am obviously not elegant enough. I think the small would be better but will stick to too long leggings from now on I think....same cute wrinkled effect for a tenner

SalVolatile · 08/05/2009 23:15

swim stuff came today but have had to send it straight back for a size 10 even though my bust is 36" if a little droopy, as was very baggy fit.....

I'm so now, I'm never doing any recommending again....sorry you two have had bad experiences.

Pendulum · 09/05/2009 20:45

Was just about to post new thread asking about Toast sizing, but will try to piggyback on this one instead! I am usually an 8 in most high st shops, are Toast fairly true to size or will I in fact be a 12 because it is mainly bought by willowy waifs?

BeehiveBaby · 09/05/2009 21:22

Don't be silly Poppity! The concept is lovely and the Guardian recommended them too....you just must have better taste

SalVolatile · 09/05/2009 21:58

Aw poppity, don't feel bad, the stuff was lovely, just i think my norks have faded away post 45 , will let you know how the 10 fits.... shame it can't take 10 years off

SalVolatile · 09/05/2009 21:59

pendulum, I found the 12 tad big but to be fair `i am a 10/12 depending on the make....

Ahh, you're very kind, I hope the posting back isn't to much hassle. I do usually find them generous on size too, I should have said that.

SalVolatile · 16/05/2009 22:13

REPORTING BACK, everyone - the size 10 tankinis/shorts turned up today and look bloody fantastic, can't recommend highly enough! Subtle, flattering, sexy curves and no spill over or tug problems...well worth the £ imho
