Have scanned the free mailer and decided that I can sort of see myself in some of it this summer; am slim 10/12, 5'5" but greying at the temples and want to look sort of chilled boho, but not sad ethnic . My normal style is very classic and probably a tad boring. Is toast a load of tut or stylish - votes please!!!

The dark blue is kind of purply-navy. Nice colour actually. Tbh if you're an 8-10 dairymoo the medium will probably swim on you. They are baggy on me round the bum area and I am a 12 or sometimes 10 as I said. Having said that I don't think they'd look ridiculous if they were too big as the top bit would be hidden anyway and the bottom bit is supposed to be rumpled.

Pinkjenny · 07/05/2009 14:07

Aha flowery - I knew bfpthismorning was you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

womblingalong · 07/05/2009 14:09

The point of Churidar trousers (trad indian trouser for wearing with a tunic type kaftan top, is that they are stretchy, not from elastane or lycra, as these weren't around when they were invented, but because they are cut on the bias, which will stretch anyway.

I think they would be much more flattering on normal non model types than leggings.

womblingalong · 07/05/2009 14:09

Oh and congrats Flowery!

dairymoo · 07/05/2009 14:11

Thanks flowerybeanbag, hmmmm.....I am going to buy this dress when my size comes in and had thought that the churidars might work for slightly cooler days underneath (also with dark blue/navy vest underneath), but think black would look awful. I may just look like I am wearning PJs with any of it, but at least I will be comfy.

Next question then - anyone got some size S blue ones that they want rid of??

Also, has anyone seen a recent voucher code for Toast?

flowerybeanbag · 07/05/2009 14:14

thanks all Am almost 13 weeks.

PJ

Pinkjenny · 07/05/2009 14:15

Hee hee, and then I had to pretend I didn't know it was you!!

Congratulations, fab news!

flowerybeanbag · 07/05/2009 14:19

Am peeved that I am still sick and exhausted, but hoping that will go away by 4 months like it did with DS.

Pinkjenny · 07/05/2009 14:21

Oh bloody hell, the whole pregnancy first trimester is hell. I am 5+4 myself, and just perpetually terrified, on major knicker checking duty!

flowerybeanbag · 07/05/2009 14:34

Are you? How exciting, congrats to you too!

I've been trying to not think about it too much tbh, as you say, first trimester and all that. Doesn't seem real until first scan anyway, but I had that on Friday and he/she's definitely in there, kicking about.

Pinkjenny · 07/05/2009 14:35

That's absolutely brilliant - keep me posted, you have my email address. I can't believe dd is 2 a week on Sunday. How time flies. [old giffer emoticon]

flowerybeanbag · 07/05/2009 14:36

I know! DS is 2 on Wednesday and it's absolutely ridiculous. He has his hair cut the other day and he looks so grown up!

Will keep you posted, you do the same.

SalVolatile · 07/05/2009 15:23

Ok, have ordered tankini and also the pintuck voile top in chambray but a style report might have to wait as it wont be in stock until 27 May......

Poppity · 07/05/2009 18:58

Dairymoo, I agree, if you are an 8-10 the waist may be too large for you in medium. I am a 10, but like things loose too, and the medium is about as loose as I could go without them falling down!

The tankini is lovely, and I want that shirt now too....

I love that skirt mrswoolf. And am now hankering after the artist style smock too. Oh why did I get involved in this thread, I want to spend lots of money now

Poppity · 07/05/2009 18:59

I've never seen voucher codes for Toast btw.

Thebolter · 07/05/2009 19:13

I have ordered the churidar in a small dark blue, so I'm really pleased to have seen this thread as I have been a little concerned as to how they will look! They aren't due to arrive until the end of the month though . I love tunics and dresses over trousers so these I hope will be a nicer alternative to leggings, which I don't think look that great on me. BTW, Daisy I am an 8 and I'm sure 8-10 would be best in a small.

As far as Toast's quality is concerned, I'm really pleased with everything I've ordered from them... there is also a certain 'je ne sais quoi' about their styles and colours which makes their clothes look quite distinct.

I usually order from their sales though - they do further reductions and the prices really tumble then! You do have to hold your nerve though!

I really want [http://www.toast.co.uk/product/dresses/C1SW1/debo+dress.htm?categoryref=%2fcategory2.aspx%3fcategor yid%3ddresses%26seoterm%3ddresses%26pageno%3d3%26 this] and [http://www.toast.co.uk/product/shoes+and+accessories/FFDR1/droli+heel.htm?categoryref=%2fcategory2. aspx%3fcategoryid%3dshoes%2520and%2520accessories%26seoterm%3dshoes%2520and%2520accessories%26pageno %3d9%26 these] and [http://www.toast.co.uk/product/knitwear/C8RP1/ceres+ribbed+pullover.htm?categoryref=%2fcategory2.as px%3fcategoryid%3dknitwear%26seoterm%3dknitwear%26pageno%3d2%26 this] to name a few. Am very at anyone who can afford Toast clothes pre-sale.

Thebolter · 07/05/2009 19:14

Try again

i am also lusting after the ophelia tunic

Thebolter · 07/05/2009 19:23

Oh yessss... I love the Ophelia tunic bel. I so want it in blue! Am feeling very encouraged by all the churidar comments as I've never seen them before and was v much hoping they wouldn't be a major mistake!

warthog · 07/05/2009 19:27

oh my god i really wish i hadn't clicked on this thread! i just added all the stuff i liked to my basket - £409!!!!!

WHEN IS THE SALE????

warthog · 07/05/2009 19:32

nope - it's up to £422 now...

Thebolter · 07/05/2009 19:41

Warthog, summer sale is usually at the end of June.

BeehiveBaby · 07/05/2009 19:58

Oh bollocks I think I have ordered the wrong Churidar size. I am a 12-14 and ordered medium for a slimmer fit like it told me too, and now I have read this thread I suspect they will be too tiny when they come tomorrow . Do they shrink at all widthwise?
