Those of you that do your make up every day - what do you put on?

I have promised myself that I will start looking after myself a bit more after having DC no 3. So I am now using the oil cleansing method which seems to be working (early days though).

I would quite like to start wearing a bit of slap but not really sure where to start what to put on. I have fair skin and fair hair. Any tips? Any good brands?

Blusher, smile, and apply onto cheekbones with big brush - less is more!

Benefit paste under eyes (but only if I have moisturised well and only because I have it and it was expensive, I prefer No.7 illuminator one).
Clinique barely make-up
clinique daily wear mascara.
clinique or chanel tinted lipgloss (chanel has a bit of sparkle to it).

If I wear blusher I look a bit light aunt sally .

If I am going out somewhere nice, or if I am looking a bit rough round the edges (most of the time these days) I wear some colour on the lid of my eyes, soft brown out to the edge of my eyelid and a little further into a point. If I am getting really dressed up, I wear soft light pink/almost white on my eyes and under, for some reason it really brightens my face up and looks modern. But mostly the first lot.

Clinique Superdefense moisturiser
Clinique Super City Block (40)
Clinique Repairwear foundation
Prescriptives or Laura Mercier blusher
Bobbi Brown concealer
Lancome mascara
Clinique eye pencil
Ruby & Millie eye shadow
Clinique lip gloss or Buttershine lipstick

Neals Yard moisturiser ior occasionally body shop if my skin feels very dry

Under eye lighterner, M&S

Victoria Jackson bronzer,

Clinique lippy or No 7 gloss,

No 7 Mascara

If really good I might use some M&S tinted moisturiser but most days not

I trained as a make up artist aeons ago but that's about my limit these days unless its a formal do or something

I use a No7 foundation, not sure what it is called but it blends with your skin tone and is really light and easy to put on, then a smidgen of powder just on my nose really to take away the shine, then mascara, quick sweep of blusher and a bit of lipstick or lip gloss. For "posh" make up I add a bit of eyeshadow, lots more mascara and more lipgloss. Takes me about 5 mins tops. I think getting a good foundation does make your skin look more even and less "naked" but it's really vital to get one that blends with your skin, nothing worse than a tide mark or looking too pink. A bit of mascara defines the eyes and makes you look more wide awake but don't go for the XXXL extreme lash type ones, they can look a bit clumpy and scary. Lip gloss is easy, and no need to mess with liner etc.

I wear:
No7 moisturizer/sunscreen
chanel foundation
benefit dandelion powder
lancome mascara
benefit benetint (lip tint & blusher)
benefit lipgloss
benefit eyebrow definer

takes less than 5 minutes

I wear the lot..! Same as for a night out BUT probably not so "glam" with the eyeshadow...

I wear:
Clarins Moisuriser
Dior airflash foundation
Guerlain Powder
MAC evershadows
Dior eye liner
YSL Mascara
Dior blusher (powder)
Bobby brown blusher (cream)
Touch of vaseline on brows and tops of cheeks
MAC lipgloss

Then thats me done.! Applied in 10 mins if during the day or 30 mins for a night out...

Amandoh · 27/04/2009 20:18

No7 Mousse Foundation.
Clarins eyebrow pencil.
A dab of No7 Espresso eyeshadow at the outer corner of eyes.
Rimmel liquid eye liner.
Clinique long pretty lashes mascara for during the day or No7 Lash 360 degrees mascara for bigger lashes at night.

For a night out all of the above plus a little bronzing powder and sometimes a little dab of glitter eyeshadow along the upper lash lines.

every day for work i

curl my eyelashes
use a spot thingie to cover up spots, but no foundation
pop on some black eyeliner on upper lids only
a coat of black mascara

can't be arsed with anything else and don't wear any at weekend. just like makeup round the eyes so i don't worry about smudging makeup if i touch my face other than round my eyes
