Need a stylish new spring jacket - any ideas?

I am 14-16 at the moment as my DD is 4 months and haven't yet lost the weight - groan. I would like something stylish and quite fancy a mac type thing or buttoned jacket. My colouring is ash blonde hair and my skin tone is - well, I don't know. Greatly enhanced with bronzer and Chanel Vitalumiere...! I quite fancy something in pink, white or cream. Flashes of inspiration anyone? Something longer line might be good at the moment, seeing as I am podgy.

have you a big bust ?

if so avoid double breasted macs

FigmentOfYourImagination · 27/03/2009 11:47

how tall are you ?

LadyThompson · 27/03/2009 11:47

It's reasonably generous. Not mahoosive.

I'm 5'6" so pretty average.

I need it to go with jeans, mostly. Budget up to £100, more for something special, but ideally under £100.

ok, you should be fine with something longer length then (presumably you mean something that covers your bum rather than sits on your hips) ?

LadyThompson · 27/03/2009 11:50

Yes, I think bum covering better with current crappo figure (big thighs).

right, ok. I'll be back

Fab. Been looking at the pink version of this Boden jacket

http://www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/Womens-Coats-and-Jackets/Coats/WE221/Womens-Chic-Linen-Coat.html here

but I think their habit of putting one large button on things can look a bit frumpy/mumsy. I have a cardigan of theirs and I think the same about that.

Anybody?

I have one that has a full skirt and this really hides any bumps around the middle. Plus is very femine and girly, and looks great with skinny jeans as much as it looks good with bare legs or tights. Think mine was very very cheap from matalan - but it is charcoal grey - so not right colour - and I have had it for 2 years, so they do not sell it anymore.

This is cheap, and would be a good option if it will be too big soon enough anyway...
