Cardigans - please help

I need some cardigans to brighten up my wardrobe. I do not want boyfriend cardigans, cropped cardigans, shrugs or round-necked cardigans. I do not want peach or lilac or pale blue cardigans.

I DO want v-neck cardigans that reach my waist, are fitted and are in colours to suit a very pale skinned brunette.

Any ideas please, lovely ladies?

Do you want something ;;www.woolovers.com/cashmere-merino/womens/ladies-v-neck-cardigan.aspx classic]]?

Lilymaid · 21/03/2009 20:19

or classic?

janeite · 21/03/2009 20:21

Thanks Lily. Sorry I forgot to say that it needs to be from somewhere I can try them on in the flesh as I can be anything from a size 8 to a size 14 depending on the shop, so need to try on really.

There are lovely cardigans in Monsoon at the moment.

A lovely green one, a teal one, a pink one, a navy one. All the same shape and I think £35 each

janeite · 21/03/2009 20:26

Thanks - will have a look. I have terrible problems with the sizes in Monsoon though - usually way too long on the arms and too big across the back in order to fit norks in! I quite like the shape of the v deep v-necked ones though.

I too have the short arm thing but they have nice deep ribs for folding back and they have loads of three-quarter sleeves. I have enormous norks and have to buy the next size up to accomodate them.

janeite · 21/03/2009 20:30

Will have a look - I like the teal one.

Any more?

What about these? Or this one from Jigsaw? Joules have some lace trimmed ones that come in lots of colours here.

Nontoxic · 21/03/2009 20:33

I saw loads of cardis in town today - gap, Oasis, Mistral, Monsoon, I'm sure you'll find them everywhere but I reached saturation point today.

janeite · 21/03/2009 20:36

Love that Jigsaw one but nearly collapsed when I saw the price! The M&S ones come in really hideous colours unfortunately. Not seen anything I like in Gap lately, although I can usually find soemthing in there.

The shape of the New Look one is good - don' like the colour much though.

Don't like the Joules ones at all.

Sorry - am being very fussy.

I am wearing a blue(not navy but darkish blue) cardigan from new look, £12 and although I am not keen on new look for some things, it is a lovely soft, not too heavy, good length, but not too long, cardigan. Wish I had bought two.

I also have a lovely, but slightly shorter in length, petrol/teal blue cardigan from Topshop, with lovely heart shaped metal buttons, 3/4 length sleeves (it was at least £30 iirc).

...both are round necked.

janeite · 21/03/2009 20:49

Agh - round necked no good for nork issues I'm afraid. Topshop site is own at the mo.

how about Fat Face ? think they are online.

janeite · 21/03/2009 20:51

Where did my 'd' go?! Topshop site is Down not own!

Don't 'do' Asda. Pale blue is v bad for my colouring. Strangely enough I rather like the rainbow one!

Boden? (Buy lots of different ones with a 'free delivery and free returns' offer, and send back the dud ones!)

janeite · 21/03/2009 21:00

Looked on Boden but nothing grabbed me tbh.

Lots of bright colourshere.

accessorizequeen · 21/03/2009 21:05

I think the boden favourite v-neck would be just what you're looking for, I'm a pale skinned redhead with large norks and just ordered one! They were £10 a few days ago, don't know if that offer is still running though. I've also got 2 of the monsoon ones and they're v.flattering. Mine are both 3/4 sleeve though.
