Knitwear

I normally wear black or grey with occasional bits of purple but I wore a green jumper to work a few days ago and got lots of compliments. Clearly I need more colour in my life!

Please can anybody recommend any cardigans or jumpers for a size 12, 32E dark haired short person? I would be wearing them with jeans or a denim pencil skirt at the weekends, or with skirts or wide legged trousers for work. They would need to be v-neck or square necked, deffo not round or high necked and thin knit not chunky.

Preferably no more than £30 if at all poss.

Thank you!

Nice ones in H and M for about £15 - lots of colours and they fit nicely (v neck).

janeite · 14/02/2009 18:14

Thanks Soya - will have a look. I only go in H&M to look for things for dd1 normally.

Surely you're not all in shirt sleeves already? Please help me find something to keep me warm but colourful!

Here's a few cardigan links of ones I like :

red

purple

green

magenta

Lots of almost identical cardigans in Primark.

janeite · 14/02/2009 22:00

Thanks both. I like the Monsoon one. I don't "do" Primark tbh. Any jumpers?

OP posts:
samsonara · 14/02/2009 22:00

yes and sometimes Primark have cashmere ones for about £25

samsonara · 14/02/2009 22:06

Debenhams usually have good selection of bright jumpers eg.

blue

square neck red

this is same colour as the monsoon one

Lovetingles2 · 14/02/2009 22:08

H+M are good for v neck, thin sweaters in all sorts of colours. They usually cost about 10 quid

janeite · 14/02/2009 22:08

Thanks Samsonara.

Is anything available that looks a bit erm....younger? Sorry but the red one made me think of my grandma!

Sorry soya, see you got there first

brimfull · 14/02/2009 22:14

, bright v necks and cardigans are not really in at the moment because long buttoned ones, ruffled and trims and stripey ones in muted colours are around more at the moment but worth trying Boden, Joules , they are colourful

here asos

topshop

janeite · 14/02/2009 22:26

Ooh Uniqlo looks promising. Am going to London next week so will be able to have a mooch in the one on Oxford Street.

I don't like that Wrap one sorry Ggirl.

I looked in Dotty P's but the quality didn't seem great.

Doesn't necessarily need to be bright - just not black or grey! I like that dark purple Topshop one.

If you're going that way you can also pop into Zara and Mango which are close to the Regent Street Uniqlo

janeite · 14/02/2009 22:31

Don't "do" Asda either; or tesco.

Will do Samsonara. The Zara ones seem to come up really short and small I've found though - will still have a look though. I bought a stripey one from there once and dp calls it my "Karen Matthews" jumper - this doesn't inspire confidence in me to wear it!!

Ok I had a look today and failed totally. I suppose it didn't help that dd1 was with me and makes me look even smaller and dumpier than usual, whilst everything she tried on looked amazing!

Any more ideas please?
