Erm... £90 I think - a pair of black suede boots. DH said "You'll never wear them" but I think I have got my monies worth out of them When I was 15 I bought a pair of black mary janes (?) in a sale at Fenwicks and thought they were super expensive at £50! They are my favourites still 7 years later, so comfortable to dance in

IdrisTheDragon · 26/01/2009 23:48

Probably a pair of DMs that were about £50. It was over 10 years ago though.

Tortington · 26/01/2009 23:50

dh bought me a pair of boots for my birthday that cost over £100. they are larvely, but rather too uncomfortable to wear

xfabba · 26/01/2009 23:50

100 quid boots. am much stingier now and try and get all my shoes in the never-ending sales. Most have paid recently was £65 for boots. resent paying that much for shoes though - won't go over twenty quid.

gigglewitch · 26/01/2009 23:52

i once spent £90 on a pair of boots. cat boots, nothing sexy
since children, its clarks sale for me too

BexieID · 26/01/2009 23:52

DM boots for £55.

I just got 2 BN pairs of Kickers for just under £25 off ebay, so hope they fit!

harleyd · 26/01/2009 23:53

i dont own any shoes
but all my boots have been around 90-100 quid, all dm's

onlywantsone · 27/01/2009 09:00

um, kick around shoes for potting around etc £40 converses

black leather boots and shoes about £100

its not about the price though - if your looking for some decent shoes, its best to get quality made. That doesn't always depend on the price.

Rocket dog shoes for example are normally very poor quality, hush puppies arent that much better

fishie · 27/01/2009 09:03

these not very glam have had them for five years now though and they don't look any different to new.

MrsMattie · 27/01/2009 09:03

In the past I've spent £200 on a pair of boots. I also own multiple pairs of Uggs at £150-ish a pop. This is a huge extravagance for me, but because they are comfy ad I get so much wear out of them, I feel I can justify it. I would never spend £500 on a pair of Jimmy Choo stilettos I'm only going to wear a few times a year .

I have a wealthy, single friend who thinks nothing of blowing a grand on shoes in a day, though. How the other half live and all that...

pagwatch · 27/01/2009 09:05

MY DH bought me some very expensive shoes at christmas but when I asked a question about them on here a week ago I got shouted at so I will just say - pricey.
Mostly I spend about £50 and i get most of my shoes from salea. I am a really good bargain hunter. I also don't buy loads but the ones I buy last years

MascaraOHara · 27/01/2009 09:06

A couple of pairs of Marc Jacobs around the £250 mark (ish) once had a pair of boots that were slightly more than that but they were last winter I think.

Personally I think Jimmy Choo is very over-rated.. why are there so many people who think a ridiculous price tag automatically turns something hideous into something to die for?? lol

missblythe · 27/01/2009 09:06

My wedding shoes were Christian Louboutin, and were £400+ (vomit at pre-DC self emoticon)

In my, ahem, defense, my dress was only £50 from a vintage fair, and it was calf length, so you could really see my shoes.

So that makes it okay, right?!

I had these for my wedding last year...

hf128219 · 27/01/2009 09:13

Gucci Evening Sandals - £285 - beautiful though!

pagwatch · 27/01/2009 09:16
  • where were you lot when I was being shouted at then?
snoringnightmare · 27/01/2009 09:21

Jimmy Choos. £395. Birthday present from DH last year. Not my normal footwear but they are lovely.

A pair of rather strange Think! shoes with heels that sort of slope backwards. £110 and I've worn them more than any other shoes I've ever owned. ( And they were even admired by some buddhist monks, who are supposed to be immune to such things)

missblythe · 27/01/2009 09:41

Selfridges, probably, pagwatch!

slug · 27/01/2009 09:43

£120 on a pair of Duo boots. In my defence, I have freakishly large feet, these are measured to fit and I wear them almost every day to work. My gay BF, who usually takes absolutly no notice of anything a female wears, commented that they are "sexy"

Penthesileia · 27/01/2009 09:45

I saw the shoes, pagwatch. Doncha know it's, like, totally uncool to care about expensive shoes. Even gorgeous sexpot Louboutins...

Mine are a pair of Tod's boots - a present from my ILs: 500 euros!

pavlovthecat · 27/01/2009 09:45

£100 on boots.

dottoressa · 27/01/2009 09:47

£90 on Clarks boots about three years ago. I've worn them pretty much every day since!
