Oh Pagwatch, I wanted to leap in and defend you but it all got so ridiculously petty and school playground-like that I am afraid I could not face it. But I was supporting you in spirit and Laboutins

I won't admit to how much I have spent on a single pair of shoes . Suffice to say, I LOVE them and I wear them so much that cost per wear they are cheaper than a Primark sale .

pagwatch · 27/01/2009 10:11

The RealMrsJohnSmith

Well knowing you were there in spirit makes me feel better

( plus they are luvverly shoes)

pagwatch · 27/01/2009 10:13

BTW TRMJS
I hope your name is iroinic.
If it isn't can I apologise for all the really letchy things I have posted, thought and said about your gorgeous DH

angelene · 27/01/2009 10:28

£200 for Emma Hope kitten heels for my wedding. I have really difficult feet and there is nothing worse for me than sore feet so it was worth it, they are like wearing slippers.

I've since had them dyed black and do wear them occasionally but now prefer much higher heels. Also, I now live in Wales so don't get many rain-free days to wear dyed shoes!

Dropdeadfred · 27/01/2009 11:06

Pagwatch why/when did you get shouted at???

pagwatch · 27/01/2009 11:10

Its fine Dropdead.
It was partly my fault.
I wanted to know how to touch up the red soles on Louboutins and my OP must have read a bit bragging. Some of the replies were just a bit hissy about spending that much money etc

And I still didn't find out how to touch up the soles

SomeLikeItHot · 27/01/2009 11:11

£120 on boots from Next. Would LOVE to own Jimmy Choos one day....

LoveMyLapTop · 27/01/2009 11:11

£90 on a pair of biker boots

missblythe · 27/01/2009 11:14

Pagwatch, could you ring the Knightbridge shop and ask them if they offer that as a service? I have had them re-heel my boots in the past, beacuse I didn't trust any old local cobbler with my Loubs.

Got to be worth a try

mileniwmffalcon · 27/01/2009 11:17

£120 red destroy wedge boots. i gazed at them in the shop window for weeks when we passed on the bus before i convinced myself they were worth shelling out on. they're great, a medium heel i can still walk miles in and wear when i'm carrying dd2 on my back too.

for years and years i lived in army boots and i found shoe shopping rather traumatic at first, but i'm beginning to get the hang of it now

wingandprayer · 27/01/2009 11:24

£750 for Jimmy Choo boots

Yes, they are overated, but they are the most beautiful things I own and were a gift from DH after birth of DD1. God love him.

Almeida · 27/01/2009 11:26

If it's only for walking the red carpet then no prob! If it's for real life then permanent marker would help.

theresonlyme · 27/01/2009 11:27

£115 for some black knee high boots that I wear a lot.

Was false economy when I paid £30 for some from New Look. Won't wear them now I have some decent ones.

superloopy · 27/01/2009 11:49

I have a pair of calf length black Miu Miu boots worth about £500.

They were a gift from my old boss and I love them.

superdenki · 27/01/2009 11:59

290 quid for a pair of alexander mcqueen black patent heels that I got married in. I love them to bits. The rest of my wedding outfit cost 65 quid so I think I got a bargain!

MamacitaGordita · 27/01/2009 13:00

Pagwatch I wouldn't have shouted, my wedding shoes were £250 and I love love loved them. I have worn them loads since (justified!!) and they are just special shoesies! You gotta be frivolous once or twice in your life- last pair of shoes I bought for myself were children's pumps (I'm a size 37 but they went up to a 38! Big footed children!) with a discount from friend who works in the shop!

bluebump · 27/01/2009 13:01

£120 for some black knee high boots when I was at university and got a grant and never gave a second thought to how much I spent on stuff! 10 years later and they are still wearable though.

MamacitaGordita · 27/01/2009 13:04

Ooh just read the rest of your posts Pagwatch and I think I heard the orig Louboutin red came from red nail varnish he used on a whim to be different. I could be making that up totally though. I have a 11 week old baby after all. Hallucinations are part of the territory these days...

HelenMc1 · 27/01/2009 13:19

Pagwatch, let us know what they say as I have a couple of pairs (one in particular) that have been pretty well used and desperately need re-reding.

Shhhh · 27/01/2009 13:26

jimmy choo wedding shoes at £300...expensive esp as I only wore once .

Most expensive is amongst my designer ones..gina flip flops...£380

Shhhh · 27/01/2009 13:29

pagwatch, just read your request about the soles on louboutin...if you go into the store they will resole them for you..

I know Gina will replace/repair any crystals lost on the flip flops I have.
