I am running out of my Molton Brown Heavenly Gingerlily sparkly spray and usually wear Jo Malone's Nutmeg and Ginger (also love the black cafe vetyvr) - so I like woody fragrances - cedary and sandalwoody and nutmeggy-
any ideas for something else to try ?

I quite like dolce and gabbana light blue, it's fresh but spicy?

That is such a lovely article Laugs.

MaryAnnSingleton - has anyone told you about "les Senteurs"?

The shop does mail order testers and has a wonderful website. There's a whole section of the website describing perfume in your favourite olfactory group.

I have no idea what you'll like but I think you should try Serge Lutens' "5 o'clock au gingembre". You have to spray it on and wait because it changes as all the different "flavours" come out. It's like "Nutmeg and Ginger" multiplied by 10 - in a really good way.

les Senteurs

It's also available from Selfridges and Liberty.

zena - fab idea - thanks

I love Light Blue by D&G.

I was also going to recommend Crave by CK as DP bought it for me out of the blue Christmas and I love it. Musky and nutmeggy. However I have just googled it to see if there was a descitption of it and it turns out it's actually for men! The blurb reads as below:

Crave is the new fragrance from Calvin Klein. It is a fresh, clean and sexy scent with an undercurrent connected directly to her. Defined by woody notes, musk and sizzling spices it?s all about wanting, needing and have to have ? and when he?s got it?she?ll want him.

Will be having words with DP although it does smell gorgeous.

Fanjo, it's very nice but I'm not aware of it's scent lingering, or maybe it's very subtle !

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 10/01/2009 19:34

it is very subtle, I do find I have to reapply it quite often, and use lots of it!
