More reductions in the Boden Sale including the lovely big button pinnafore dress

They've added more things including the dress I was after for DD at £12 - though I'm in two minds now as I bought the blue and brown spotted t-shirt dress instead when the other wasn't available. May get it for next winter. Also more reductions on things already in the sale.

Wow, that was fast!! I had a despatch email last night (and YES it included the anorak ) and just had a knock on teh door - Boden delivery

It is all here, it looks lovely. Only concern about the anorak is that it is slightly tailored, it appears to go in at the waist. Which is fine as dd is a skinny minni, but despite it being age 7-8 it does not make it much bigger than the age 5-6 French supermarket brand one she is currently wearing.
But for £12.50 it is a good anorak and will do her for a while, so I am happy

hippipotami · 07/01/2009 09:25

oops, just realised I had already told you about the despatch email including the anorak. I obviously spend more time on here than I thought

Yunyun · 07/01/2009 12:39

I also got the blue spot fleece lined anorak for dd .
We already have the blue spot hotchpotch T-shirt, so this will either match or clash horribly

There's a few other bits and bobs I would like for dd, just hope they add more stuff to the sale. Have my heart set on a duffle coat

hippipotami · 07/01/2009 13:09

I ordered dd teh big spot blue big button pinnafore so that together with teh big blue spot anorak will be dotty overload

I too have my heart set on a duffle coat, but I don't think there will be any more. I think this final reduction is the last of the sale..

hippipotami · 07/01/2009 13:09

urgh, crap typing, sorry

Yunyun · 07/01/2009 14:23

They've just added new items including the duffle coats! GO go go!

hippipotami · 07/01/2009 15:03

Have just looked at the duffles, but not in dd's size...
Did you get one??

Yunyun · 07/01/2009 15:17

Hi Hippipotami, yes I got one in grey I ordered size 13-14, so should last for yeeeaaaars

Honestly, I got so panicky as I went through to checkout in case they sold out

hippipotami · 07/01/2009 21:12

Nice one Dd did not want the grey (but she is only six so I let her off)
Do the duffles come up big?

lovelysongbirdie · 09/01/2009 15:32

hippi and mejon and anyone else that ordered the big button dress, is it nice?
did you get the tshirt to go with it/underneath too?

advocateofthedevil · 09/01/2009 15:33

I ordered it by mistake as i meant to take it out of my basket before checkout having decided it was probably hideous. it is.

lovelysongbirdie · 09/01/2009 15:37

which colour did you order?
did you send it back?

advocateofthedevil · 09/01/2009 15:39

the blue one with the chocolate spots. it only arrived yesterday and will be going back.

advocateofthedevil · 09/01/2009 15:40

i got it in a 3-4 but it might look better in a bigger size as the spots are so big they swamp the dress.

lovelysongbirdie · 09/01/2009 15:42

oh no! thats the one i ordered for my 18month old.
in age 3-4

mejon · 09/01/2009 16:27

lovelysongbirdie - don't panic! Mine arrived this afternoon and I really like it (blue with brown spots too). The 3-4 doesn't look too huge - it's definitely too long for now but then I do have a rather short daughter - did you say your DD was quite tall for her age? Across the chest doesn't look too enourmous but it I'm sure it'll be fine for my midget DD next winter! The cordouroy has a more washed look than the t-shirt dress in similar colours I got a couple of weeks ago and I think I prefer the big button one for that reason - but then I luurve spots so it would have to be really hideous for me not to like it . You can always send it back if it's no good.

The spotty anorak though is defintely too big for now and will be packed away until next winter when hopefully it'll still be roomy enough for a jumper underneath.

Forgot to add - I didn't get a tshirt but I did order the twin pack of blue/brown tights when they came back into stock as trying to find brown tights anywhere has been impossible so I'd nab some if they've got any left (12-24 mths quite long - probably Nora Batty-esque on DD for a while!).

mejon, thanks i quite like bold things so it might be right up my street.
did you get the t shirt that goes underneath?
the powder blue one?
what do you put it with?

mejon · 09/01/2009 16:47

I didn't get anything to underneath. She won't be wearing until next winter but I'd imagine I'd put a brown or blue long-sleeved tshirt under it. There were some pretty pointelle brown ones in the sale in Tesco recently so I may have a look to see if they've got any left.

thanks mejon.

i think it will arrive mnday, it's been sent

wools · 09/01/2009 17:38

Lovelysongbirdie, mine's arrived too. I'm really pleased with it. I'm going to put a long sleeve brown top under it. I think you'll be happy.

lovelysongbirdie · 09/01/2009 17:41

oh thanks wools.
what do you think to the sizing?

i will report back when it arrives.
i think i will like it, i like the look of it for a while before ordering

hippipotami · 09/01/2009 17:41

My big button pinafore with the big brown spots on the pale blue is beautiful - but I ordered size 7-8 so it is a much bigger dress and the spots look good

Did anyone order a duffle? Do they come up big?

Yunyun · 09/01/2009 17:44

Still waiting for despatch email for my duffle.. amongst other things I ordered from MB this week...

lovelysongbirdie · 09/01/2009 17:44

hippi i'm glad you like it, i do love the colour.
