songbird - we may well have to move to the other house if we sold this one first and still haven't rented other one out but problem is, it is in Chester and we live 40 miles away. I really really really do not want to disrupt DD1 again by moving her schools. I could do it in the short term (couple of months say) as DH could take and collect her from school but it wouldn't be ideal to say the least. Needs must though.

Had 5 viewings on the house in 2 weeks so not bad, 2 people are interested in it, 1 of whom has to contact the people who want to buy theirs (who are in rented) to see if they still want it and the other couple are looking to maybe rent theirs out and buy ours. We will see though. Email me on [email protected] and I will send you the link to our house so you can have a nosey!

I got fed up with the shoes ruining the outfit.

DD's most recent footwear (size 28) is a pair of dull gold shoes and a pair of silver leather boots. Goes with everything, looks beautiful .

lovelysongbirdfliessouth · 27/11/2008 20:51

hi anna, they sound nice.
do you have a link? or i suppose you got them in france?
how old is your dd?

Anna8888 · 27/11/2008 20:56

My DD is just 4.

I got the dull gold ones in Gusella, in Milan, and the silver boots are also an Italian brand but I bought them here in Paris.

It came to me like a flash of light basically that I do the same thing - I buy gold/silver sandals in summer that go with everything so I only need a couple of pairs. I'm sure if you look around you'll find something.

I also found some fabulous metallic purple boots that would have gone brilliantly with DD's school uniform (navy/grey) as well as her pink and purple weekend wardrobe. But DP couldn't stomach them .

lovelysongbirdfliessouth · 27/11/2008 21:00

at shopping in milan and paris.

whats it like having a 4yo?
i've only got dd who is 17months and starting with tantrums etc.
although we have had a lovely day today

lovelysongbirdfliessouth · 27/11/2008 21:00

ys i will look out for some silver shoes.
maybe gold.

Anna8888 · 27/11/2008 21:03

It's lovely having a 4 year old - she's at pre-school all day for four days a week and getting very tired now, so I don't have as much fun with her as I used to.

Enjoy your little one while you can .

If you go to a Start-Rite stockist in the UK (not Russell & Bromley though) you can look at the "English Classics" in their catalogue and order the dear little shoes with a button (and button hook) in pale pink or grey - they look fabulous on tiny girls, especially with ribbed tights in a matching colour and a little sticking-out skirt .

Pinkyminkee · 27/11/2008 21:03

my dcs have I paur fitted shoes- at the mo Ricosta waterproof boots,
a pair of wellies
and a pair of slippers.

DD1's boots are a lovely shade of violet, though.

lovelysongbirdfliessouth · 27/11/2008 21:10

i try but i am finding it hard atm
i miss my baby.
the baby that was angelic
i try to remind myself that dd is just learning she is her own person and trantrums are normal.
but she is still quite small for doing arts and crafts and cooking which i love.
but she does do some drawing and painting.

thanks i will look for that, i'd like the grey one i think also they are a neutral colour

pgwithnumber3 · 27/11/2008 21:28

I will email you now songbird.

Anna888 DD2 has some gorgeous dull gold shoes, they do go with everything. They are tiny, only a size 19!

I have realised that both my DD who is 2.5 and my DS need 3 pairs of shoes. My DD has one pair of clarks purple patent flowery mary janes which actually work with most things, some trainers for nursery and some UGG's which cover everything else. My DS has school shoes, trainers and smart shoes. Both have wellies and slippers too. I have a personal aversion to black patent and navy shoes because even though they don't clash with anything they don't go with anything either.
