Crivens.

Do you work in a brothel?

No?

Then no.

MadBadandWieldingAnAxe · 21/10/2008 15:37

It looks like a 'naughty secretary' dressing-up outfit. Too tight and too much flesh showing through the gauzy bits. No use for anyone trying to project an image of professional business competence.

So that's a no from me too.

gingertabby · 21/10/2008 15:42

i work in a hospital

Oh, you will have a "coat" over the top, should be okay then

ruddynoraaaaaaggggggghhhhh · 21/10/2008 15:47

this is better

Mandelbrot · 21/10/2008 15:48

If it's the cardiac department you could be adding to the workload of the morgue.

Wear a polo neck. Save lives.

I think it is the see-thru aspect of the dress that is a bit horific and I bet you it will look pretty bad in real life if you know what I mean.

I dont hate the idea of it but you could get a much better effect with a really good pencil skirt, a well cut short sleeve cotton shirt and a really cracking wide belt. These are all basics so should not have to cost the earth.

Just because you work in a hospital/have an office job does not mean you have to wear a hessian sack but the Jane Norman dress is just a bit too much!

FairyMum · 21/10/2008 16:47

Looks like something from a Carry-on film....

My2Monkeys · 21/10/2008 18:10

PMSL at some of the replies! I agree with everyone else. Looks a bit desperate to me tbh. The men would be embarrassed, the women would hate you and you'd never be taken seriously again

I actually quite like the one posted by ruddynoooraaaghh above (even though it's from M&S!) - much more subtle.

I don't get why you'd actually want a 2-in-1 dress like that though - I for one can't wear my tops more than a day or two if I'm lucky before they smell Surely a dress like that isn't made for washing every day? I'd definitely go for a pencil skirt, belt and shirts instead!

MrsBadger · 21/10/2008 18:36

roflmao

I work in a hospital too

we look more like this

hotCheeseBurns · 21/10/2008 19:03

I bought the cowl neck jumper with the short wide sleeves weeks ago and have barely taken it off! Want one in every colour...

gingertabby · 21/10/2008 20:12

still thinks it's a bit outrageous to think pople would hate you for what you wear. are people really that bad?

OP posts:
hf128219 · 21/10/2008 20:19

It is absolutely stunning - I am going to order it straightaway to make sure I have it in time for my return to work in December

gingertabby · 21/10/2008 20:27

hf r u taking the pip?

OP posts:
cheltenhamgal · 21/10/2008 20:37

i love the outfit but it is far too posh for work )

hf128219 · 21/10/2008 20:45

Not taking the pish - that dress is simply divine. It could pass as Chanel Haute Couture with the right shoes.

samsonara · 21/10/2008 20:48

No unless you are a mannequinn working at Jane Norman when it would obviously be perfect! I think it's more going out gear, you know these colour block 2 in 1's are everywhere in the shops and this one with the emphasise on the cleavage will probably look too fashion victim in most places.

joliejolie · 22/10/2008 11:55

Would be perfect if you were Barbara Windsor and you worked as Sid James' naughty secretary!

elsiepiddock · 22/10/2008 12:03

Looks very cheap and nasty

Wuxiapian · 22/10/2008 13:57

That's awful.

Too dirty slapperish.

traceybath · 22/10/2008 14:07

How old are you? And what size are you?

Am guessing you're pretty young and have a good figure.

As the others have said that dress is no good. How about just going for some pencil skirts and shirts with a v neck jumper on top.

Can get variations of this look everywhere - its smart but sexy in my opinion.

Blackduck · 22/10/2008 14:23

God NO! not at all 'professional' - just asking to get hit on really.....

bikerunski · 22/10/2008 17:11

erm, no.
