Could you please find me the double breasted olive green coat that the woman at the chess tournament was wearing this morning please? She wasn't there to pick up so I couldn't ask her where she got it and it would look lovely on me

have you seen the fab patent leather boots in Clarks - they are the best item of footwear I've seen in ages and I don't even like patent leather!!!!!!!!

Am working on the £120 and intend to have them within a couple of weeks.

Can't do links to Clarks website.

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 17:40

Well I bought the bargainous cardy in Tesco

this one in grey

Had lots of comments about it - have worn purple polo neck under it and also a stripey black and browny grey one from GAP.

Tis very warm too due to neck area.

Everyone shocked it was Tesco

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 17:41

Cat - I have black patent boots from Dune last year - I LOVE them. AGain, get lots of +++ comments.

CatMandu · 04/10/2008 17:43

Gobbledigook - I have it too!!!! in green and have also had trillions of fab comments. I want to get another, but couldn't remember what colours.

moondog · 04/10/2008 17:58

Yes, that cardigan is nice.
Talking of bargains. Matalan have some great skirts. I bought two pleated knee length flannel ones in black and grey. Very nice for work with cashmere jumper, opaque tights and my lovely new Hobbs boots.

Another was cotton, lined and in a groovy 50s purple and black print.

Fifteen quid each.

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 18:00

Bargain!

I got a kind of cardy thing from Matalan for £10 - it's almost like a blanket though so kind of no sleeves - ooh hard to explain. Will have to see if it's on the website....

NotCod · 04/10/2008 18:00

janeite · 04/10/2008 18:02

Which boots? I like those first ones. I also have a bit of a "thing" for grey flannel - need some new grey flannel trousers too.

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 18:07

Can't find them on dune website

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 18:09

mine are a bit like this but no buckle thingy round the ankle just plain

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 18:10

oh here they are grand except they don't have patent on the website.

CatMandu · 04/10/2008 18:11

I tell you the Clarks ones are devine, in black or grey. If I get them soon I'll add a pic, but we're 'being careful with money' at the moment, so I can't see me getting them just yet.

GobbledigookisThrifty · 04/10/2008 18:11

matalan cardy a bit like this but with no sleeves
