can you buy stockings that aren't 10 denier black jobs?

I am NOT wearing tights this year I hate them they are v uncomfy

I like stockings but get bored because I can only get one sort - black, 10-15 denier, sheer things

I want coloured ones, or opaque ones, or woolly ones, like the range people wear of tights

I want no pervs on this thread leering at my suspenders btw

hmm I have that problem with hold ups too. Thing is, the wobbly thigh tends to be right at the top, on top of the hold up bit so at least the rest of the leg looks passable

i like your optomisim . rest of my legs really quite reasonable, tops of my thighs a bit scary....

yes, i tend to feel it's very pleasing that the top of my thighs are hidden from sight for most of the time lol. Protecting the public I think.

The really important thing with holdups is not to buy the ones with a little band - the wider and lacier the top, the less they cut in. Also, if you buy sized ones you don't get an unattractive dent in your thigh.

Make sure that you don't place the holdup bit over any spider veins though. Last week I wore holdups which I don't normally(pre big conference trip, I discovered a lack of good tights, few good stockings and a huge number of lovely holdups in the cupboard, so thats what I packed). At the end of one day, I discovered that a thread vein had burst leaving me with a 15cm square bruise...

I'm not sure whether being a stocking expert is a good thing . I did wear them an awful lot in my younger rock chick days (with skirts 2cm below the tops of the stockings sometimes), and just found them more practical than tights that fall down or are too short for me

oh... I don't really know. What sort of price are you looking at? I saw some on agent provocateur earlier but they were really expensive. Hang on...will look online for you. Figleaves has some but I don't think any six strap ones (don't have one of those myself but can imagine they stay up better...).
