OK, so we went with Califrau and boycotted Clarks for ds1's school shoes and guess what?

.....he has peeled the front off his brand new NEXT school shoes!

Now, ds1(6y) is not a naughty boy. He is quiet and well behaved and not a rough and tumble sort of boy.....but his shoes are wrecked!!! and they cannot be worn!

There is no way that this would have happened with Clarks shoes. There is nothing to peel.

What can I do? Am not particularly cross with ds as they scuffed and looked crap after 2 days at school and he doesnt play football or anything so this was just normal wear and tear.

I still have the NEXT receipt - dare I take them back?? £17 down the drain

Majeika · 03/10/2008 19:17

well his Clarks ones never got stuffed and were obv made of better stuff.

He does have a scooter tho and am now wondering if he puts his foot down to stop himself going too fast and is scuffing them that way.

Still, he shouldnt have been able to peel it off, should he?

Cod your boys must walk on their hands then. We've had scuffed shoes coming out of our ears here - and I've got girls!

Majeika · 03/10/2008 19:18

I think I will sue Califrau - where is she??

OP posts:
Majeika · 03/10/2008 19:19

BoysAreLikeDogs · 03/10/2008 19:23

We have a climbing wall at school, rips the toes of moccasin-style shoes big style.

Twig moccasin-style school shoes are a crapola idea because the stitching around the top gets ripped

Twiglett · 03/10/2008 19:25

you don't get many scuffed shoes playing golf ... ROFL

Freind got next shoes, i watched with interest, they feel apart after 3 wears!!

So I went to clarks. 2 pairs of school shoes and 2 apirs of trainers, over £100!!!

How many Next pairs could I replace for that?
