I got measured at Bravisimo and was really happy at my "new" size, but does this mean I now have to get my bras from them all the time? No where else sells my size!

I had a thread a while ago, I thought I was 36b but in fact Bravisimo measured me as 30D. Apart from them though, no where else seems to start at back size 30, its 32 and above. So can I go for 32c instead? Or am I best off just forking out for a bra from them as it will fit properly?

You can try different makes as some will come up smaller

more places do 30s I find, but they will be more expensive than the usual high street stuff (worth it though). At the more expensive end, Rigby & Peller now stock 30s when 32 was the smallest they did a few years back

It's really not difficult to find 30"back bras. It's my size and I buy lots from www.figleaves.com - not even expensive!

i have measly little A cups so im afraid i wouldnt really know... but my sister the bitch has 32d's i beleive and the correct sized bras seem to make all the difference to her

mabanana thank you I will have a look on there. Only problem is it may be better for me to be able to try on bras first? Do any high street shops sell 30? I've tried m and s who did a couple but nothing for everyday they were satin and lace type things. And Next, Debenhams, any I've missed?

NappiesGalore are you sure you are A cup? I thought I was a b and honestly I have got hardly anything there these days so was shocked at my size as I fully expected to be told I was A cup. It seems when you go down a back size you go up a cup size.

FIgleaves postage is only £2 and returns are free - you can order loads and then send back anything that doesn't fit.
I have a lot from the Just Peachy range (check out my link) and it fits perfectly (I'm 30FF) - very true to size. And so cheap! IF you want to try stuff on, go to a department store or a specialist lingerie shop and try on stuff from the Freya ranges. But do try Figleaves, because the range and prices are so brilliant.

You can return anything that doesn't fit to Figleaves -- so you could order a whole bunch from them, try them on, then keep those that fit best and send the rest back.

Thanbks PortandLemon, I'm worried they won't fit me though as it seems to vary so much style to style. I wonder if I should just go to Bravisimo and get one or two really well fitted ones then get cheaper ones for everyday in 32c from next or similar.

One more question. Since I found out that 36b is in fact way too big I've been wearing my old (pre pg)34c bras and finding that they feel really tight and restrictive, is that normal? Maybe its because I'm used to ones that are too big?

Yes, and because the 34Cs are the wrong shape for you. Right size bras do feel tight at first, but that's because your old size was doing nothing for you at all and you might as well not have been wearing anything"!

Sorry been off choosing bras! I've picked a couple of £10 ones because I hate spending ut on something only I see(cheapskate I know) but also one of the Pour Moi ones.

I thought that too NG but must have been wearing the wrong size pre DD too. I was so happy to be a D I felt like I'd been given a boob job! Only not obviously...and still haven't bought any in my size. Got a few in my basket in Figleaves though. I'm trying to look at swimwear now but it won't let me, it keeps not showing the pictures which is not much good.

When you are measured, how do they do it? Is it norks out? I've often wanted to get it done, mainly because I cannot believe that I have 38 feckin' G norks. I'm hoping I've got it all wrong and they'll put me in a 34B or something...

No I didn't have to get them out as such but did change into the bras the girl brought in for me in front of her. I think she asked what I was more comfortable with though. On the thread I started about it they said most people are in too high a back size but too low a cup size if that helps. They are really professional in Bravisimmo though, or at least they were with me. I was scared they'd send me away saying I wasn't even an A or something as I've been very conscious of being flat chested since having DD, well since stopping feeding her anyway.

IIRC they don't measure as such at Bravisimo, they sort of size you up by looking at you then try you in a few different bras to see what fits.

Lol NappiesGalore I started posting under this name when DD was about five months old and I was obsessed with the fact that I hadn't lost any weight since my six week check. I am still not back to pre pg size but seem to be almost where I started on top its just my big bum hips and tummy!

Meant to say I'm not sure if there is a way of working it out yourself, someone came on to my other thread who worked at Bravisimo(or used to) and she was really helpful. I'm not sure who it was now though sorry! You could try looking on thier website though as I think there may be some sort of guide on there.

You can now get 30D+ in M&S which is a fairly recent thing and they fit well ime.

my body is a wreck since having 3 dc in 2 and a half years... and not having done any exercise to speak of before during or since that time doesnt help lol... i spose thats to be expected, but still... [resolves yet again to take up exercise]
