I got measured at Bravisimo and was really happy at my "new" size, but does this mean I now have to get my bras from them all the time? No where else sells my size!

I had a thread a while ago, I thought I was 36b but in fact Bravisimo measured me as 30D. Apart from them though, no where else seems to start at back size 30, its 32 and above. So can I go for 32c instead? Or am I best off just forking out for a bra from them as it will fit properly?

Nappies you may find it helpful to look at what a correctly-fitting bra looks like and how to work out your true bra size not a substitute for an experienced professional, but should give you a good idea of how your current bras are (or aren't) fitting you. Most women are wearing the wrong size and typically need to go down one or two back sizes and up one or two cup sizes.

thanks P&L, thats pretty helpful actually. am now resolved to go and get fitted properly as i always look like all the first pics, but whenever i try to go bigger i look like the gappy pictures at the end and my poor norks get scared coz theres an echo in there...

I am definitely not at all thin (26 BMI) but still 30 back. I am just thinnest at that part of my ribcage. I wear a 32FF sports bra though - they come up small. The figleaves website reviews are great for telling you which styles are small or big.

oh i better get my arse down there for a fitting. i'll be sorely disappointed if they dont declare me a bigger size now tho!

NG - to get a rough idea of your size measure your back size just under your boobs in inches. This is your back size.

Then measure your boobs at their fullest part, if they are droopy you can do this whilst wearing a bra.

Take the second measurement from the first and the difference gives you the cup size.

1" = A
2" = B
3" = C and so on

Then start trying on bras adjusting back and cup sizes until you find the perfect fit (and that can be different sizes for different styles)
