NappiesGalore · 23/09/2008 23:13

Jones the bootmaker has some nice ones in too, lou. more sleek and grown up than my big fark off rigger boots

LetThemEatCake · 23/09/2008 23:20

my thread has so been hijacked LOL

with you on the In thing nappies - but anyway, they are in, they are they are they are - only have to look at the dress up dummies on Netaporter and matches to see that - plus Vogue says so.

So there, previous poster (have forgotten your name sorry)

eyelasH- winter shorts had not gone "out", some things just work and so are here to stay, I think that this is one look that will stick around for a while as its wearable but strays from safe.

re shorts with tights, I couldnt not wear my shorts without tights, I'd be locked up for indecent exposure if I didnt have them on but all the bright young things near me are wearing cut off denims with opaques and ballet pumps or uggs- if I was five years younger I might give the look a go myself but I think I might be just a bit past it! Its v on trend at the mo to wear tights with shorts.

NappiesGalore · 24/09/2008 16:24

hi letthem, sorry for nicking your thread - how rude!
went shopping today
didnt see shorts, saw dresses. so got them instead.
saw gorgeous biker boots too... have resisted until i see what these work boots are like.

bigspender30 · 24/09/2008 16:48

ooh nappiesgalore, where did you see biker boots?
I think to wear winter shorts, you need a good pair of legs as most are mid thigh length so cut accross the leg at the fattest part ( she says bitterly looking at her big wobbling thighs and shaking her head). There is just no way I could carry that off even with tights.

LetThemEatCake · 24/09/2008 17:13

I have my doubts about my abilities too. Sometimes I think my legs are okay but mostly, if I'm honest, they're pretty foul. I may re-think the shorts thing ....

yes, nappies, where were bikers please?

gah... cant remember name of place... was a 3 letter shop name in the marlands shopping centre in southampton. weird yellowy light and trez industrial interior. i can remember that they had doc martens, a brand called Art and some others... the boots were a brand called Oxygen, with an O2 embossed on the heel (small like, not like a mobile phone advert)
they were yummy.
will look for a link but may be called away to deal with my children who are all in the bath as i type...

NappiesGalore · 24/09/2008 19:19

hey i found them! this is the website of the shop in question too... they have nice stuff

NappiesGalore · 24/09/2008 19:37

they were quite a bit nicer in rl than the pic shows tbh

lou33 · 24/09/2008 19:51

the office and jones sites are too expensive for me, i have v similar boots to the m&s ones in black already, i wanted something less casual , but they are v nice

WeDoTheWeirdStuff · 24/09/2008 21:50

hmmm... not overly loving those boots nappies.

i ain't doin shorts though - dresses/long tops & leggings i'm fine with, but not shorts.

I want some good army/biker type boots.
