Despite the fact it has very little reference to style or indeed beauty - I am looking for purple fleeces

Sort of Royal Purple

Adult ladies with a zip all the way down on the front (I really don't want to pull it on over my head)

Has anyone seen any? or could anyone find me any?

I am thinking supper cheap tbh - but feel I maybe conned into quite expensive ones

Bet they sell them at Cadbury World: you could cover up the logo?!!

KatyMac · 20/09/2008 21:44

Wrong shade I think & they will be expensive

KatyMac · 20/09/2008 21:49

Lovingthepink · 20/09/2008 21:52

Why don't you contact your nearest uniform supplier. The ones that do school uniforms etc. They may be able to get get one and sell it on to you.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 20/09/2008 21:55

Urghh

Only purple in the fleece sweater

Sorry

KatyMac · 20/09/2008 22:09

Bald - you let me down I didn't expect that of yu

God idea about uniform suppliers

Pretty pricy
Maybe (and matching skirt)
This in the mauve/deep purple?

KatyMac · 20/09/2008 22:13

Gosh that is expensive

Can't work out the matching skirt one

Not quite the right colour for the mauve one

JackieNo · 20/09/2008 22:15

Maybe Uniqlo? (you have to click on the puple option)

KatyMac · 20/09/2008 22:17

That is a good possibility & only £15!!

KatyMac · 20/09/2008 22:20

So do I go for a discrete logo on the left breast or a full size whacking big one on the back?

Do I go for full colour logo or Yellow stiched outline?

blithedance · 21/09/2008 00:06

Regatta one here any good?

Have you tried asking the embroidery company?

blithedance · 21/09/2008 00:13

What's it for? Normally fleeces just have chest logo. (DH rarely wears anything except corporate clothing).

But if it's working with children being very identifiable from front and behind can be useful, think at our primary school the teachers have fleeces that say "staff" across the back for wearing in the playground.

Also in DH's experience if you are going to have a fleece for working outside, make sure it's actually WARM and thick.

Hard to beat that one from Uniqlo, what a lovely colour.

KatyMac · 21/09/2008 08:21

A lady in the village is going to embroider 2 or me

Basically it is for advertising childminding plus for identification, when we went on a recent day out (6 staff, 3 parents at a funday with only7 children) everyone was confused about what was going on & who belonged where

We are so short of children now I thought it would be good to get people to recognise us

Katy no, they had a few others as well- must have been OK if I noticed them, I do not normally do purple (second only to yellow in the no-go colours for me)

Peachy · 21/09/2008 10:23

blithedance I bet your Dh wears logo'd clothes from his current employer / business: mine just wears anything he has worked for over the years LOL

Styyyyylish, my Dh

KatyMac · 21/09/2008 10:24

I agree yellow is a no-go colour

But purple suits suited all the people I employ employed so I had tabards made in a lovely strong purple - I thought I'd get the two remaining us all a fleece to try & drum up business

I think that cheap one will be fine tbh

OP posts:
Peachy · 21/09/2008 10:29

Oh no, sorry, yellow is fine on other people- just for me I meant- my colouring (slightly sallow skin).

Although the kids do have a habit of shouting utterly butterly at people wearing yellow ..... no idea where they got that from........

oops

KatyMac · 21/09/2008 11:05

Yellow/beige/cream all make me look half dead

OP posts:
blithedance · 22/09/2008 22:01

Peachy

Nope, he wears grotty old T-shirts from everybody he's ever worked for, being a freelancer he has a huge selection. I attempt to draw the line at his wearing them in bed...
