Okay this is serious. I have to wear something to get married in.

I was planning on going down in jeans but my granny has said she'd like to send me some money to buy something nice to wear.

Q1. Is this dress too long to be a dress over trousers?

Q2. These trousers are nice aren't they? Maybe a sort of tunic / dress / top with them?

Q3. Shoes?

The dress is nice.

You cannot really be thinking of wearing those trousers to get married in can you???

BroccoliSpears · 10/09/2008 00:06

What? I like them.

Oh dear. I HATE clothes shopping.

FabioBigBangBlackHole · 10/09/2008 00:39

Brocoli won't want that on her wedding night.

lickleolme I love you
that was brilliant

S1ur · 10/09/2008 00:45

Hello Broc,

Let's get this sorted eh? Don't worry about clothes shopping I am confident we can find something comfortable but gorgeous

I think that dress is too long for over trousers - would there be a reason you wouldn't want to show your legs? Even with tights?

The trousers are nice and def wearable. But you have excuse and money to spend if you wnat on something a bit different or special occasion - you may as well look at options.

I love white stuff this season and want to spend too much money there. this dress is lovely on, better than pic So I think your choice dress with fab shoes and acessories is great option. But am happy to look around more tomorrow.

pmsl!! that's going to keep me going all day lickleolme .

I've got a friend who's getting married in jeans and wellies with a nice cardy next week -I like that you're not doing it in a meringue BroccoliSpears. Also think white stuff's a good shop to get something from, their stuff is lovely

Beetroot · 10/09/2008 08:00

your granny would not be happy with those revolting clothes.

you need something more fun

umberella · 10/09/2008 08:04

BS, have you seen this site? They have absolutely loads of lovely things, AND a clearance section (which I am always trawling) -they have nice clothes too and bit more fun than white stuff too

umberella · 10/09/2008 08:07

we need a picture of you really...

BroccoliSpears · 10/09/2008 08:13

Oh I'd forgotten about Utam! I like that site. Will have a look. Good thought!

Those trousers are not revolting Beetrot. The dress is a bit I suppose.

umberella · 10/09/2008 08:21

stick a pic up, then everyone can pitch in properly!

got to go to work now, bleurgh, but will check back later to see if you had a revelation -this is nice i think but might be too dressy/wedding-y. Lots of nice things in the clearnce bit actually....

teafortwo · 10/09/2008 08:26

The white stuff dress you showed us is great!!!!

It is feminine but not girly. Stylish but human.

I would have very happily worn that over a pair of trousers to get married in.

Congratulations.

Have a lovely day!

Beetroot · 10/09/2008 08:29

the trousers are for everyday stuff (at best)

the dress is horrid

Beetroot · 10/09/2008 08:30

Jeans and a over dress

Beetroot · 10/09/2008 08:32
