Big Clumpy Boots please

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 00:06

I saw some boots today on another mum at new school. Have spent all day thinking about them. What are they?

They were long ones, kneelength? with a mahoosive heel - think BIG and square, NOT high. Nooo can't have high heels as have erksome feet.

So clumpy, big old hoofs for winter - anyone know the sort of thing and where they come from please??

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 14:21

irksome fool

will look up top hsop
yes need attitude that's it. Rock on.

Think long cardi down to floor, skinny jeans to fold in spare skin, rainswept face and big clompers to stump about in WITH ATTITUDE. This is my decidedly winter look.

If you got links anybody post up as am very uncool not knowing about good shops anymore

I've just been quietly lusting after these - clumpy enough?

I too have decided skinny jeans and long cardi are the way to go for winter, but can I find the cardi anywhere? Have seen a lovely one in Markies but is only hip-length

MadamAnt · 09/09/2008 14:55

how about these?

MadamAnt · 09/09/2008 14:56

or these

MadamAnt · 09/09/2008 14:57

or these

orangina · 09/09/2008 15:10

Ask the mum where she got her boots (hopefully she won't think she's got herself a stalker...)

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 15:54

All good and so nearly yet...

I want boots with teeth!

would ask the mum in due course, can not go up to her as stranger because I know will look like a total creep.

I'm getting a Bench cardi I think.

I'm currently looking for something exactly like this but cheaper...

MadamAnt · 09/09/2008 16:02

lovecat's Next boots are pretty similar to those Anna.

MadamAnt · 09/09/2008 16:03

Have you browsed the DM site BlackEyed? There are loads of chunky heeled boots on there.

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 16:13

oo actually madamant I think you are onto something with DM's.

Like those Anna888. They are soft looking as in comfortable. And I need comfortable.

Anna888 those boots say they are made of baby camel leather! I have never heard of that before. Is it really camel?

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 19:21

Saw a very similar pair to the Next ones in Tesco (F&F) this afternoon for £40 - they've only got the top buckle, though... was tempted!

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 21:36

undercovercat · 09/09/2008 21:37

rocket dog nokout

fishie · 09/09/2008 21:38

blackeyedog all i see around me are knee length cardies. gap is a major offender.

clompy stompy boots come from places like schuh and really expensive ones from italy but they are about £300 and you will be buried in them.

BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 21:43

oh fishie that means I'm so on trend

Also I am out in the sticks don't see anyone for days so have no idea what should be wearing

this mackintosh won't do the swoonsome top shop link dammit

I'll try the rocket link

OP posts:
BlackEyedDog · 09/09/2008 21:45

are they nice?

moondog · 09/09/2008 21:45

I got a good clumpy brown pair from Russell and Bromley but they don't seem to have a proper website. Those brown Doc Matrens are great.

fishie · 09/09/2008 21:50

you can get different rocket dog ones a bit like undercover's from next online. they've got suede bits.

where is this swoony link?

undercovercat · 09/09/2008 21:51

REALLY?????????????
Now, here the bad news, they are about 70 quid, and I got black leathery looking ones and they only lasted about 3 months. 6 because I dont mind looking skanky, but they did fall apart, well the leathery looking material ripped and was paper thin, tough boot still under that and I covered it with boot polish and I am gutted.
However, I love them, and will be buying a new pair for this winter, as for 6 months wear its about 3 quid a week
