What do Birkenstock wearers mean to you?

Do you think Lentil Weaver? Or Boden Yummy Mummy type? Or Hearty Walker/Outdoorsy type? Or nothing much?

I have to confess here that I own Birkenstock sandals - and yes, I know it doesn't matter what people think but I want to know if they have connotations, IYSWIM. I'm thick-skinned, btw .

I think: bit Boden-ey, quite 'safe' with their fashion choices. personally I can't stand them, but I seem to be in the minority!
