castlesintheair · 05/08/2008 13:48

Oh yes, am obsessed with cracked heels. Ewww.

I try not to look down but I just can't help it ...

The top of my feet are lovely; tanned, new nail varnished, and moisturised but I can#t sort out the bottoms. I scrub and scrub and use cracked heel stuff but it doesn't work on me. The balls of my feet have cracked and are so sore.

i think it is hereditary as my mum is same.

I am a lost cause.

castlesintheair · 05/08/2008 13:57

Go to a podiatrist/chiropodist. They work wonders

Twinkie01 · 05/08/2008 13:58

Took my trendy orange toenail polish off last night and now have orange tallons - looks vile - so have stayed in dressing gown all day and not left house at all because I can't be arsed to paint them so it wasn't me - but will be when I go to the gym later - will wear blue plastic pool shoes into shower as not to offend any sensitive people like cod though!

RubySlippers · 05/08/2008 13:59

mehga this is brilliant - ccs footcream

better than flexitol and less sticky

you need to use this first: scholl foot scrub

then a foot file

then csc cream all over (do it at night and wear socks)

you will have peachy feet

fluffyanimal · 05/08/2008 13:59

Nail varnish wouldn't help my feet. They are minging. I hate them. (Nothing wrong with my toenails though.) Please have pity on us ugly-footers, we need love too.

fluffyanimal · 05/08/2008 14:00

Question: if you have lovely soft skin on your feet, how do you avoid blisters?

frankiesbestfriend · 05/08/2008 14:00

Ewww

Seen the advert for cracked heel cream with the close up of some womans' manky heels?

Makes me sick.

DeeRiguer · 05/08/2008 14:01

lol trotters

my trotters are sorted, i like my feet to feel good, they are important
i do pedicure lots of creams and no hard skin etc...

i helped sort my bil feet, they were such a mess, mounds of crackedness, scaly, horns and corns!
he went to docs after that holiday and he had gout! scary only in 40's wtf ..ott american lifestyle i guess

derelicte · 05/08/2008 14:01

My feet are in good nick, but are embarrassingly wide. Does that make me loathable?

derelicte · 05/08/2008 14:03

fluffy - insist on being carried everywhere in a sedan chair.

MehgaLegs · 05/08/2008 14:03

Ruby - that stuff looks good - will try.

RubySlippers · 05/08/2008 14:05

it is - my chiropodist recommended it

you can get it in Boots

Cappuccino · 05/08/2008 14:06

"women with NO nail varnish on"

god shoot them

shoot them now

TigerFeet · 05/08/2008 14:06

How do I get rid of the bits of hard skin on the balls of my feet?

My feet - other than being as wide as they are long - are in good order otherwise

TigerFeet · 05/08/2008 14:07

(no nail varnish but htat doesn't bother me tbh)

ConstanceWearing · 05/08/2008 14:07

Yeah, horrid advert but the cream is brilliant stuff (worked for me anyway). I walked around despising the horrid common women with loofah-textured feet - and felt v v superior

(I've got wide feet too, Derelicte. My toes fall off the sides of most sandals )

fluffyanimal · 05/08/2008 14:07

Derelicte - if only!

fluffyanimal · 05/08/2008 14:09

Where do you wide-footers get your shoes? I find most things in high street too narrow these days. I can usually only fit the stuff in Evans.

Oliveoil · 05/08/2008 14:10

my feet are fab

may I offer a tip for painting nails?

do feet at night, accompanied by tv and/or wine - soak, scrub, file, yadda yadda

then splodge nail varnish all over your toe nails, don't worry about it going on your skin

in the morning in the shower, scrub at your feet

excess nail varnish will be removed, leaving behind neatly painted nails

I thank yow

TigerFeet · 05/08/2008 14:12

fluffyanimal - on the high street I'm restricted to Evans and Clarks but there are a few more places online

My smallest toe nail on my left foot is unpainted because it fell off (shopping trolley incident - farkin' hurt)

Am I a slapper then?
