I am useless with make up - if I post a pic of my colouring can you help me?

I am crap with make up basically!

I am also very underconfident with my looks. I am thinking of trying mineral foundation and have no idea what shade - everytime i go into the department stores they advise me and I end up feeling its wrong.

I have oily skin so wondered if mineral foundation would suit me.

But....biggest prob is eyes - mine are blue, so what colour shadow should i use and how do i do it so it looks good. I've watched all the videos and still cant do it.

I have a do to go to soon (the ball i have bored you all about) i want my hair curled and want then want my make up to look good but have no idea.

I'll post a pic of me, but bare with me - I hate photos, its the only one i have on pc and I have NEVER posted one of me on here before. And believe me, I'm no oil painting. Please be gentle.

If you can wear back, you definitely need blue based colours then

You need to experiment with different shades of brown. I have a friend with your colouring and she tends to wear the warmer browns, as well as gold, as eye colour. They really make her eyes look bluer. You should go to a make up counter and try them all against your skin. Ditto with lip colour, you may be quite surprised about what really suits you.

I don't like blue eyeshadown on blue eyes, it looks so unimaginative and does nothing to make the colour stand out. Now bright blue eyeshadow on brown eyes is a different story....

i love green eyeshadow - would it go?
