Help me find a similar jumper

I really love the look of this Merino wool jumper from Beyond Nine but at £279 it's is quite pricey. It is the kind of thing I would probably wear every day during winter and probably keep it until it falls apart as I've loved this slouchy relaxed style for years:

I have found something similar at Sezane which also looks nice and is £100 cheaper:

Has anyone seen anything similar?

to be honest I prefer a heavy cotton knit jumper over wool as I find wool really scratchy but I've never had a merino wool jumper so can't compare. I love the shape and the neck of the beyond nine jumper.

I've saved money for some new winter staples but if I bought the beyond nine jumper I wouldn't have much left.

Any alternatives welcome! Also any views on how scratchy merino wool is??

Just to add I have tried searching the image on Vinted but can't come up with anything decent

DD has just got a lovely jumper with a similar neckline at H&M although not in brown. I’ll see if I can find it as there may be other colours available

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 26/10/2026 11:21

They only do blue and red. Having said that there are quite a few nice slouchy jumpers on H&M so maybe worth a look

Thingamebobwotsit · 26/10/2026 11:22

Uniqlo, and try M&S too.

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 26/10/2026 11:22

The Sezanne one looks gorgeous although I think the sleeves would drive me mad after a while

MrsUrdd · 26/10/2026 11:29

I'd be very cautious of a neck like that with wool. Could be an expensive mistake.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 26/10/2026 11:38

H&M 6% wool synthetic mix

ommadon · 26/10/2026 11:41

I have bought some corkers on Vinted. I literally bought this this morning in brown for £15. Keep searching!

No help with finding a jumper but merino wool is not scratchy, it is soft and smooth.

Undones · 26/10/2026 11:50

Try temu.

Binfire · 26/10/2026 11:52

I would definitely try before you buy with any type of wool. Some people are better with merino wool but it still makes me want to rip my skin off, especially with a high neck. Wool is also a lot more faff to look after so do a bit of research before spending a lot of money to check you’re happy with the upkeep.
Toast have a cotton linen blend one which might work? www.toa.st/products/organic-cotton-linen-easy-sweater-bitter-chocolate?&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=18437612048&dema_id=18437612048&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=18437706656&gbraid=0AAAAADntuohO4U74xaa6EWkjxXGt-Da0s&gclid=CjwKCAjw9PvWBhAxEiwAddzYyQUgq6R2i6tKhi-CfV4FRdmehlo25--aRe3RR0WlT9XDwIxeqhXoyBoCP4UQAvD_BwE

@Bootsand if you have a big Asda or Sainsbury’s stocking clothes both have some super knitwear in and also in brown all under £30

UndoRedo · 26/10/2026 14:27

Uniqlo?

MsMacheath · 26/10/2026 15:43

Wool is also a lot more faff to look after.

No it isn't. I hand wash wool and would hand wash that but it would be no more than once a year.

Crojo · 26/10/2026 16:09

I prefer the Sezane one. Merino wool isn’t scratchy, I love it as it’s lightweight but keeps you warm.
Have a look on Woolovers, they have some merino and cashmere cowl and polo neck jumpers for around the £75 mark, although more fitted.

Justsomethoughts23 · 26/10/2026 16:38

Try Me&Em, I got something similar a few years ago (although not cheap). If the original one is the one you love and you’ll wear it loads then it seems worth the money, although I prefer the Sezane myself!

gulfgirl · 26/10/2026 17:19

I'd go for the Sezane.

I find that beyond 9 clothes are cut a little frumpy unless you are very slim.

Sezane also send you a prepaid return sticker which I really appreciate, makes returns much easier. Oh and a free gift 😆

SarahMused · 26/10/2026 17:37

What about this one, although it just says wool, not merino. £120 so a lot cheaper and looks good. Was recommended in the Telegraph today https://www.massimodutti.com/gb/100-wool-oversize-knit-sweater-l05853535?utm_source=tradedoubler&utm_medium=affiliates&utm_campaign=MD_PER_ALWAYSON_TRADEDOUBLER_US_AFFILIATES_MIX_MIX_MIX_1503186&utm_term=1503186&utm_content=1
