Suggestions for a tote bag to take on a plane.

Will a tote bag be big enough. This will be instead of a handbag.
Do the airline measure this bag.
It's usually holding passport, paperwork, purse, kindle and specs.. Maybe a bikini and spare knickers.
Newspapers for DH to read.

The longchamp le pliage is my go to for travel, it fits plenty!

I don’t love a tote bag because they usually don’t have zips or zip pockets… which you need really for passports, purse, keys, phone etc. You don’t want to be constantly rummaging under your newspapers to check all the important things are still there.

You could take a small handbag and just pop it into a tote to get on the plane though if you’re only allowed one bag.

It’s also brilliant as the inside is wipe clean. Twice I’ve spilled a bloody bottle of stuff in mine cause I’ve not put one of those new attached lids back on my cola properly due to rushing whilst travelling. No bother at all, just wipes clean. Pity the stuff inside the bag doesn’t too haha.

Agree the long handled large le pliage is my standard - because it can be zipped. If you like to be organised buy an insert fr Amazon. I usually have a small cross-body bag too for passport and money etc.

Another vote for Le Pliage. I also use my LV Neverfull but that’s unnecessarily expensive.

But they generally don't zip up, so all your stuff is liable to fall out when the bag is under the seat...

Wa about to say the same. I like it as it can be fully zipped up.

God is it just me that finds the Longchamp le pliage dull and uninspiring 😬

Yeah, I don't think you can go wrong with the long handled large Le Pliage.

i got one of these in the summer sale and it’s an amazing bag for a flight. Fits such a lot, straps are comfy and top zip is very secure.
