The only UK store with stock in a size 39 is 'Swindon Orbital'.

They will not transfer them to another shop, or take payment over the phone. They will, however, send them out by post FREE of CHARGE if you send a gift card to the store (addy is on the 'find a store' locator on the website). You will need to send a note confirming what the card is for (silver padded toe thong size 39, stock no 370-389-X41), and quote the secret password along with your name and address.

They are holding a pair in case you can be bothered to do all this; alternatively, maybe there is a Mumsnetter in Swindon.
