Yes La Roche posay for face (although may try beauty of Joseon next time) and Hawaiian tropic or Piz Buin for body, tend to always use Hawaiian tropic after sun as I love that one

Use garnier on my face and anything factor 50 anywhere else. However, we’ve all burnt using Lidl cien spray so going back to boots soltan cream.

Yes, I have to stick with Soltan as that's what holidays and sunny days smell like! I don't use aftersun, but I have bought a travel size Soltan one just in case.

Yes, always Ambre Solaire. Partly because it's what my childhood summers smelt like, and partly because it's the only brand that didn't bring DS out in a rash when he was little

Yes, I use La Roche-Posay. I tend to come out in a rash with other creams, this one is more expensive but worth it for me.

I’m happy to try new suncreams if they are better- used to use La Roche Posay as my DD’s skin is sensitive, but have changed to a Japanese sun cream which just glides on and feels like a light moisturiser and is lovely. Much better consistency than any European brands I’ve tried and it doesn’t leave a white cast!

Yes, due to sensitive skin and coming out in hideous rashes! I have been advised to only ever use water-based products, rather than oil ones, on my skin.

Ultrasun, it’s really neutral and doesn’t sting and none of us have burnt despite slightly slapdash application. Doesn’t have that nice sun cream smell though but two of mine have sensitive skin so seems to suit them. After sun is just cheap moisturiser so I use whatever is on offer (Garnier this year)

I can use most on my body but prefer a light spray/oil but I use Clarins face one on my face as my eyes react to anything else I’ve tried. I’ve got another face one I use daily but it’s too £££ for holiday as I need more.

(I inwardly despair seeing people using the watery liquid sprays in public - they create an aerosol cloud that disperses over quite an area and people nearby, you have to breathe it in, it’s choking, plus it gets on the pool floor tiles and leaves a slippery film).

I spend 6+ weeks in the summer in a hot country, so my family gets through a lot; I buy my suncream during the sales or at TK Maxx throughout the year.

I love K beauty creams; they're constantly innovating (Korean women chop and change all the time, in search of the next best thing). I get a lot of K beauty suncream from TK Maxx, or direct from a Korean lady who's an expert in the field.

Otherwise, I'll use brands like Roche-Posay, Patyka Paris, that I pick up in the sales.

Yes Green People only in our family as we all have eczema. Expensive but the only one that doesn't aggravate.

I'm loyal to Bondi Sands in the big pump bottles for DDs because it's easy to slap on them in the mornings and their school doesn't allow them to reapply sun cream during the day but they've never been sunburned so I think it's a pretty good one.

I like L'Oréal Revitalift SPF 50 for my face and then any cream based one for my body. Lidl's Cien is fine and I really like their aerosol one for quick top ups but would never use it as my main suncream. I know lots of people that have burned only using aerosol ones which is obvious really as you can't get an even coverage. But they're excellent for a quick top up on the go if you don't want to get all greasy.

After sun I only use if I've been sunbathing and am really hot as it's nice and cooling but I'm happy with the cheap ones as it barely gets used. I've used a Tesco own brand one this year and it's done the job well but I agree with a PP that I'd normally prefer my usual body lotion.
