I'm starting this first one but hoping that when a thread looks close to ending another thread member can set the next one up. This is not working out so well. 😂

To avoid duplicate threads please try to post in the thread that's ending to alert everyone you're setting up a new one.

Other members check who was first to offer and whether a new one is live.
It might be an idea to keep a list of advents that are live in the OP and later on which are sold out. This can be copy/pasted/edited when a new thread is started.

It probably goes without saying but please be courteous and patient with each other. This thread will have spoilers and please no judging of others for their purchasing choices. Participation in the threads is optional.

SNK did their full video reveal on 19/08 last year so a couple of weeks still to go if they keep to that sort of timetable.

I don't think I can afford advent calendars for DILs they like such expensive ones. And I have grandchildren to buy for and sons.

I do buy Chanel for one just a couple of items though spent £150 last Christmas.

Does it work out less expensive to buy the calendar than individual ones. I used to have the Estée Lauder beauty box. Once upon a time it was fabulous. And I told myself saved money.

Just as well. I'm not very good with flatpacks.

I’m sure many of you will sympathise with me:

I had the FAC in my basket and was about to check out when guests (visiting antipodean relatives of my in-laws who have been an utter nightmare about arranging this) arrived for lunch. Greeted them, nipped to the loo to finish my purchase and it had sold out!

I may have been a little frostier over lunch than I would otherwise have been….

I agree with you. Im trying not to get a BAC this year as Ive got so much left from the last two years, and am intending to only get thr HN FAC. But the JL one is such good value, and Space NK was really good last year. And then there’s the Flannels fragrance cracker…..

I was trying on my phone in the car ( not driving!) Managed to get it in my basket but it wasn’t letting me log into my account so I didn’t get it 😢I must have tried 5 times. iPhone user so you Android users weren’t the only ones

At One point I was getting only one but I’m currently on 2 and it would have been 3 if Harrods didn’t sell out! I’m also looking forward to seeing HN (this was my favourite last year) and SNK. So no idea where this will end up but on reflection I’m quite glad I didn’t get the H fragrance too this morning.

Maybe you and I could have a little support sub group? I now have the HFAC and am determined to resist all others.

I'll start - JL is such good value, everyone will have it and you don't want to be one of a crowd and SNK had a good year last year so this year's is bound to be a disappointment.

And you still fed them? You're a saint.

I do need to be more strict with myself, although I am being sensible about the FACs, I got the Harrods BAC without yet knowing the contents of HN & SNK (both of which I got last year and enjoyed). I do like the look of Harrods but there are a handful of products that I’m not that bothered about (though would use anyway). The JL one if I’m being honest, it’s mostly the Foreo UFO, a couple of moisturisers and the fragrances that I’m bothered about, again I’d use the other bits but I could take or leave them.

I do need to keep reminding myself that I still have last years JL, as well as Lumene and Rituals (these two I got reduced in the new year)

I am. I tell DH and FiL that regularly and they agree with me wholeheartedly!

Still, the pavlova I made for pudding was a triumph albeit not making up for missing out.

So when do we think they’ll release more tomorrow? Do we ride at dawn?

The HFAC is the first time I’ve ever bought an advent calendar and I think that will be me done 😅 I’m getting a little more into fragrances but I spent years trying to use up what I had and no longer liked so keen not to over expand my collection! I very much like the Bibbi and Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise from the Scent Seeker set though so that kind of spurned me on. I want to try the Parfumes de Marly but hate the pink bottle so think I’ll be selling that on.

I had Glossybox last year and bloody loved it. I hope tgis year is just as good. Along with my HFAC that would be an exciting December!!

I wouldn’t have answered the door until I was done.

I did get asked in the meeting if there was something I needed, as I may have let out a little whoop. Literally buying under the table with the volume off. Luckily a relevant email had just come in.

Bit light on fragrance, which is a shame, but some of the skincare I'd really like to try, as long as the TBC isn't a load of hair stuff, which never interests me!

Ooo we always wonder if she's lurking on here and I would say this is proof she is. Those look like my photos, there was another photo on the advert which I didn't include and she hasn't included. And the screenshots I took are much clearer - why do they go so blurry when you put them on here? 🤔
