Crossbody bag for holiday

GinJarRogers · 07/07/2026 16:25

I’m looking for a crossbody bag to use on holiday in a couple of weeks. For sightseeing and beach days so can be quite small - it just needs ti fit a phone, purse, lip balm. Has anyone seen a nice one around? Budget £100 but ideally less!

Have a look at camera bags, good size, usually zipped up and comfortable wide straps. Sofia and Sprits, or PomPom do some nice ones

TheDogsMother · 07/07/2026 16:29

Oliver Bonas have a nice selection of cross body bags.

Can’t go wrong with Uniqlo

Agree 100%. I now have quite the collection!

GinJarRogers · 07/07/2026 18:18

Thank you! Love the Elizabeth Scarlett ones but also might finally be time to get my first Uniqlo!

The Uniqlo ones are really good for out and about.

I have a teeny Longchamp that’s handy if all you need is literally phone, lip balm and keys! It doesn’t come with a strap but loads on Amazon.

OatcakeCravings · 07/07/2026 19:02

Get the Uniqlo. They are not exciting or stylish but they work and cost £14 or thereabouts. I bought one when I was on a long weekend in London at the end of May when it was about 34 degrees and my cross body was too heavy and hot, the Uniqlo weighs nothing. I’m using it again this week on holiday for the same reasons. I got it in a beige colour so goes with everything.

bruffin · 07/07/2026 19:04

I have been looking at the Elisabeth Scarlett bags for weeks now. I think i would go for the canvas rather than the velvet as i think would be more hardwaring and keep cleaner.

SSea · 07/07/2026 21:38

Uniqlo for less than £15. I have them in multiple colours and love them for holidays and for every day. They’re brill :-)

Uniqlo or ‘The Foldie’ - great safety features

flowerworld · 07/07/2026 21:50

Pom Pom London. I have the city and city plus

Swimforthewin08 · 07/07/2026 21:52

Ollie and nic do some gorgeous ones..i have two and would like more!

Surelyitscoffeetimenow · 07/07/2026 21:55

Try fablou. They're rubber but don't stain or scratch so I love them for on holiday when you're wearing sun cream or going to the beach. I've got a few and they still look brand new years on. They're far pricier than when I first found them but you can often get a discount code so rarely need to pay full price - there was a 40% code at the weekend.

Lentilcakes · 07/07/2026 21:57

I’d go for the Uniqlo too - I bought one recently and it’s great!

Scoooobydooo · 07/07/2026 22:16

The Uniqlo bag is a tardis. Can’t go wrong!

DelphiniumBlue · 07/07/2026 22:43

Primark. They do a dupe of the Uniqlo one, but much cheaper.

RavenT · 07/07/2026 22:48

Fablou Luna, like the Uniqlo, but bigger.

They annoy me because they refuse to say where they manufacture their bags.

Sensiblesal · 08/07/2026 00:21

Kurt Geiger have regular sales and I have had my eye on a summery camera bag and crossbody bag for a while.

my go to is a simple black sports one. Think ADDIDAS/Nike. Usually roomy enough for the airport too for passport & essentials

Agree - there are small bags which are often on 241 - my whole dog walking crew have them!

Chocolattecoffeecup · 08/07/2026 07:19

I've got a leather black Fatface one. Think you'd call it a camera bag but has two sections and very spacious. I keep my passport, phone and money in it while I travel. You could also pop to tk Maxx and see what cross body bags they have.

Soddingcat · 08/07/2026 07:49

Ive got loads of the uniglo ones, which i love, but i hate the lack of compartments,
I bought an antler one £70 with my birthday money as it goes with my new luggage !
and it is way better as it has 5 compartments in , better quality in either khaki, black and cream.

EDIT TO SAY IVE JUST LOOKED AND THEY ARE REDUCED TO £44 !!
