Page 3 | Awaiting facelift surgery tomorrow, and would appreciate positive thoughts and advice

Hi .. just this really … I’m on a train with my little surgery bag … waiting for it to sink in .. I managed to convice myself it’s only a consultation at 7:45 tomorrow. Expecting panic to set in any time 😬 Any positive thoughts,advice, experiences super appreciated… I posted about this some weeks ago, i hope i don’t come across as an attention seeker,It’s just a good place when you need advice/ support/ ears. Thank you 💓

Train was great,seats are reserved,you can choose quiet coach,seat,assistance etc.. (free), takes less than 2 hours from London,just one stop! (overall, with a car, it would have taken me double the train time, so for me it was a no brainer). You have to stay local the first night, possibly 2 depending how you feel. ( I was full
of energy and still ‘high as a kite’ as Chris said I would be first 2 days). You do need someone to pick you up and be with you, and ideally accompany you on train I think ( just in case , not everyone recovers from anaesthesia this fast,I was buzzing ).

Next appointment is around day 8 to remove stitches, then again after a month, I went on my own without a problem and enjoyed shopping & exploring York 😊, my next is on Thursday, train is so convenient I’m glad I don’t have to burden anyone or drive for hours.

You must be so excited, i found it empowering and one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. Way beyond the looks 💃

So positive to hear both the physical and the mental journey went so well for you, was so worth it looking at your results already in such short space if time. (I had upper bhlep last year, different surgeon, best thing ever). Your feedbacks been so helpful as trying to plan how journeys back/ forth'll pan out (I need to catch train to Waterloo, UG to Kingscross for high speed train north so bit more of journey involved). Thinking, by what you're saying take partner for part 1 (surgery) & other journeys solo ... last question would be really helpful ... is day 8 when head bandages are due off or are they just for a temporal brow lift purposes? Hope to have DPF/N lift (appreciate chin strap) and lower bhlep this time. 😊

@DallyFam no problem, ask away, happy to help! ( you can DM too if you wish). Day 8 is when everything comes out,removing the neck/facelift stitches behind/ around ear area felt great. I found the face strap really helpful, someone I know, who had more work done didn’t get one, not sure why. My journey was longer too, first train from from SE to London- St Pancras/ King’s Cross, then to York. Before the procedure, i was concerned about whether the journey would be too much,but it didn’t feel so at all. ( maybe because I was still a bit high, listening to music and happy to be alive 😵‍💫😆).
Can I ask who did your upper bleph? It’s great that you are so happy with it! It’s something that I will probably do at some point (I opted for temporal brow lift, hopefully with time it will show, atm it doesn’t seem much different to me, something I must ask about next week! I keep forgetting it’s only been 4+ weeks ..).

Really good to know ... you've been such help in planning my journey thank you x Bhlep with Alex Goodson @ Spire. Had op at Adnova Clinic, not sure he's there now but is with other clinics Winchester way. He's a really nice chap too 😄
