Useful fashion fixes like hijab magnets for gaping necklines

I recently bought some hijab magnets to stop the crossover neckline of a dress from gaping and showing my bra, and they’re brilliant!

They’re incredibly strong and don’t leave any pin marks.

Has anyone found any similar fashion fixes they’d recommend?

I'd love these as I only have Boody ones which are very expensive and stretch out of shape so get loose and lack support after a few hours.

Amazon suggests size M for me. But I'm 32D, so wondering if size S would be better as 32D and 34C are pretty close. Is there a lot of stretch?

There's a bit of stretch but not too much, they feel very snug when on which is what I wanted, considering I've lost the shape from my boobs, they actually give me a good shape too. And to the pp who asked about a shelf, definitely not ..the stitching takes care of that

@StellaAndCrow I have some, I bought them when I was pregnant and couldn't see my feet. So easy and no bending. I still use them for the gym. I prefer my other trainers with regular outfits.

@HurrahforHollywood I got mine on temu, but amazon etc have them

Do tell me where to get them!

You can get them on Amazon
e.g. here - 8 for £8.99

Sewing a ‘strap trap’ into the shoulders of sleeveless dresses. Stops bra straps from showing.

This is just brilliant - I never knew these existed, exactly what I need!

I sew small clear plastic snap fasteners in my dresses and blouses to stop gaping, useful if the item is delicate and the hijab magnets would be too heavy or visible.

Skechers slip ins are amazing, my DC refuse to wear anything else

Is this the type of Quick Stitch thing that you use?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stitchy-Clothing-Clothes-Tagging-Fasteners/dp/B0FGDQSL31/?th=1

And please could someone explain the hairband/hairtie thing for shortening trousers? I can't work it out.

Thank you for all these useful tips - I've ordered some hijab magnets, genius idea! You've saved me from having to wear vests/camisoles under all my dresses!

Yes, that sort of thing. Amazon is full of them. The tags are like the plastic ones shops use for labelling, but way tinier and shorter.

My personality has improved since discovering the Uniqlo tops with bras in for sure. I’m just so much more comfy and happy.

I haven’t got any yet but I think I want to start sewing weights in the bottom of floaty skirts à la royal family. I’ve had a few flashing incidents.

If you like built in bra tops, check this brand: oglmove.com/collections/bra-tops
