In my defense I had £60 worth of liberty points which would have got spent on something else had i not. So £200 for me instead of £285 with the BD discount.

I had the Milk stain from Space nk edit. It looked lovely but managed to try instore first thankfully. Way too bright gor me and I have redness already. Very Aunt Sally. 🤣
So sold one and have another I need to get shut of.
I opened a Westman Atelier mascaras yesterday. Was going to sell as have a few from edits but selling for peanuts so thought id try. Its not a tubing one but was ok. Didnt run which is the biggie for me as they nearly all do even with primer,etc. I mist have oily eyelids. It wasnt amazing volume wise but i could tell a difference when id done one. Milk, sweed,lisa eldridge, chantecaille, to name but a few. 🤣
Was easy to remove with timy water. Ive stopped removing my mascara with balms et c as my eyes are dry atm and its just irritating them.
I have at least another 2 of the westman so will use. Ive got a blinc one as well and a bobbi brown and estee lauder to try. Im trying to chuck old stuff to try new but its hard. 🤣

I meant to post about this the other day but then got distracted.
I went into mcr centre on Tues as had a gift voucher for Harvey Nichols that id bought to use online but was instore only. 🙄
I was going to wait but after hearing hn were in financial difficulties I thought id better use it as vouchers are the first thing to be cancelled.
I can understand why they are struggling. Not a great lay out imo instore. Minimal brands. Limited make up counters. The staff were lovely and i got 2 dermalogica sets. Not much choice of sets. That or sunday riley. But wanted sets as things so expensive irl although 15% off a lot. Lots of space not filled. Poor design imo. Looked very exclusive and posh but empty compared to m and s, boots and selfridges to name a few.
I then went into Selfridges. What a difference.
So many counters. So much competition. Vb,,trinny. Annoyed I didnt try the Trinny spf moisturiser that was in a john lewis edit awhile back. Debating whether to keep or sell. Have the medik8 and chantecaille as well.

How do you find out what the JL free samples are? Mine says 2 samples but doesn’t specify what size purchase or anything else. Did you just add that and check out?

You need to click through the link on the rewards page when you select the reward and it then takes you to the two samples you can choose.

Does anyone rate the Supergoop in the Chase the Sun Edit? I’m generally adverse to trying new products randomly and was going to sell it on but it sells for so little I thought I may as well give it a go!

@Fillybuster I think the JL rewards are soo complicated. You have to add the reward and then there’s also link which says something like start shopping and when you click on that it takes you to the 2 samples which you have to then have to individually add to your basket. The value of the samples is then deducted at checkout.

ohhh, thanks, I have done that wrong somehow and that's why they aren't in my basket, back to try again

(more love for the Sparks rewards which yes, you have to add the offer that you are shopping but that's simple and then it just sends the money to your Spends account after a few days to process!)

I’m sure Another 13 is the one my DS wanted to try. And I have just began using medik8 crystal retinal 3, so this will be handy as a top up.

@Doglover73 Which Westman Atelier mascara is it that you have used? I have so much trouble with panda eyes, and I’ve tried loads of different mascaras.
I’m currently using Ilia and then a light layer of Glossier to give some more definition, which seems to be working okay, though if it’s particularly hot it does run.
I also agree with HN store, I went last year and there was probably 3/4 other people in the shop. The beauty section is too spaced out and looks like they just done have enough brands to fill it up - at the very least they should fill it out with some displays to make it look less bare

On mascara, I’m planning on going to the Merit event in London tomorrow for the mascara sample 😅 think there’s a few other things in the goodie bag too. Is anyone else going?

Just started on a Lumene mascara, my eyes stung on first use but are fine on second use today (NB I am only wearing the mascara and skincare today so I could check if it was that or something else/some combo). I'm happy with the effect if my eyes stay ok!

Might chuck my current Rare Beauty one, it's been fine but has been open a while and I have a few in the queue (I am a 'make up on occasions' person) so better be safe than sorry!

And ordered enough JL stuff for free postage to store of the samples (body oil and travel size hair oil which I will get through fast enough).

@user593 I liked the Supergoop (I think it came in an SNK BAC), it gave a nice glow too, my only issue was that it sometimes pilled. Therefore I figured, for me, it would be best to wear alone/on holidays.

I'm keen to try the Ultra Violette spf mist, the Gatineau Vitamin C serum and the Skincycles Lumina Body Shield. I also need an Aloe Vera gel. I also have the Supergoop! Lotion and Sunday Riley lip balm and like both of them 😊

I don’t wear makeup often and we’re going to Greece next month so sounds like something I could usefully use!

I loved the CB sun edit - got it in the first release and agree it was excellent value.

The Supergoop is only factor30, so not something I’ll really use, and DH won’t appreciate anything with glow. It’s not sold on Vinted over the last 4 weeks. Might give it to dsis!
