Heatwave perfume?

Which heatwave perfumes are you wearing? I normally go for aquatic like Replica's or Molecule 02 but I'm wondering if I should skip perfume all together? I put 2 to 3 sprays. I'm just getting dressed for the day and wondering if it would be fine or rude to put perfume as I'll be on public transport in this hot weather. What do you think?

Penhaligons Juniper Sling

TammyOne · 24/05/2026 12:47

Cavalli Serpentine- light aquatic mango blossom
Or a Caudelie one- Sol Fraiche or something. Smells like the beach.
Perfume behaves totally differently in heat- I always vary mine according to season.

Dali have a few summery perfumes, Laguna, Sea and Sun in Cadaques, Sunrise in Cadaques and Sun and Roses.

My summer scent is Happy by Clinique

Impulse have some body mists called The Italian Edit Ive had the Roma Rossa one which is Rose and Strawberry and i currently have the Sicily Secret one which is Pistachio Gelato and Vanilla. I mostly stick to body mists in the heat.

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 24/05/2026 16:44

Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt
Inis

I love Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. Old fashioned but so fresh, citrusy and lovely.

Also love how you completely ignored the bellend that made that first, sour comment. I reckon their scent would be "Mala Leche"!

Branleuse · 24/05/2026 16:52

I'm wearing Jo Malone French lime blossom today.

Fibrous · 24/05/2026 16:57

Mojave Ghost - not too heavy!

3girlsmama · 24/05/2026 17:27

The summer scents I like are both from the brands you mention. When the rain stops by Replica MM. And Molecule 01 + mandarin

Next Summer Sun to smell like sun cream and pina coladas.

I also like Yardley English Lavender or the OG 4711, though, so basically only listen to me if you’re happy to smell like an old lady 🤷🏻‍♀️

My favourite is Aerin Lauder Mediterranean Honeysuckle. I bought it for a holiday and it evokes holidays on a hot day here.

VintageLane · 24/05/2026 17:45

Actual lol at ‘heatwave perfume’ 😂

I tend to wear Eau Dynamisante when it’s warm as it’s lovely and cooling and light.

A nice cheapy for hot weather is Elizabeth Arden green tea. I keep a bottle in the fridge for a cooling spritz.

This. Bought a bottle at the airport on the way to Italy as it was on special offer. It’s been 26-28 degrees and was lovely and refreshing. Got several compliments on it too.

Nivea sun is gorgeous I’ve just discovered it for this summer, it smells like holidays!

No perfume is going to make it through the scent of the actual Nivea sun lotion I douse myself in during a heatwave.

I do love to wear the Nivea sun perfume sometimes in winter to remind me of holidays!

I skip it altogether in summer - or go with a very very light spritz, there’s nothing worse than being in a hot space with someone else’s perfume - hellooooo migraine

There is, being next to someone with B.O

I like the Estée Lauder bronze goddess but it’s too expensive for me now. I have picked up a couple of dupes over the years from Zara and Next.

I love Next’s Summer Sun

MeetMeOnTheCorner · 25/05/2026 09:32

Acqua di Parma - any of the Blu Mediterraneo series. Made for hot weather! All perfect.

Mastersstudent83 · 25/05/2026 10:35

Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche is my summer favourite. I find only a couple of sprays lasts a long time too.
