Have supermarket clothes become more stylish and better value recently?

I've bought some really nice pieces in these supermarkets lately, Asda at the moment has some lovely summer trousers, wide, with great patterns. In years gone by I'd never have dreamed of finding interesting,stylish clothes in these supermarkets, but either I was wrong, or they've really upped their game recently. I think maybe with the demise of department stores, they've spotted a gap in the market?

Anyone else found any gems in the supermarket lately?

Supermarket clothes miles better than they used to be

Great for kids, summer stuff, beach stuff...

My local Sainsbury’s briefly re-opened their changing rooms after Covid and have now permanently closed them.

I was told this was because of discarded clothes dumped in the changing rooms and also shoplifting; they were unable to have staff on duty outside the changing rooms and people were just taking off the security tags (although tbh half the time when the alarm rings when exiting the store the security guard tends to wave people through…..).

My local ASDA still has a changing rooms though but it’s hidden away in a quiet part of the store and I’d been past it loads of times without noticing!

Sadly for me even the ‘short’ lengths in supermarkets are still too long for me as I only have a 27” inside leg. Even at M&S I have to order online and collect in store. None of the supermarkets have a Petite range afaik. :(

Just remembered…..every now and then there is a 25% discount promotion on all Tu clothing in Sainsbury’s. I can only buy T Shirts etc as I’m petite, but I often pick up a polo shirt for my husband.

Tu barrel leg jeans are brilliant. They also do fab cotton pyjamas

I have a pair of those barrel leg jeans. So comfortable.

Tu jeans in the "S" length have a 27 inch inside leg, though it took a good bit of scrolling and clicking to find that information.
