I have a pale pink pair like this. Will wear them when I meet you in Arcachon

oh I really like those - silver!!

Wish they did green or red though.

SoMuchToBits · 20/06/2008 10:28

I really like those - but also wish they did them in other colours - a turquoisey green would be good.

I walk a lot. I have a pair of Keds that I love and my kids hate - call them old lady shoes (have seen Uma Thurman wearing the same so am in good geriatric company).
Ballerinas don't cut the mustard.
Wore my Spartacus out last summer and will buy another pair for summer tramping.

nailpolish · 20/06/2008 10:34

why was paris a shoe nightmare

SoMuchToBits · 20/06/2008 10:35

Sadly there isn't a store anywhere near me - I live in Suffolk, where decent retail establishments are a rarity.

The shoes look great though, they look as if they'd be comfortable and stay on your feet (unlike ballet pumps which always slip off if you walk very far.)

MarmadukeScarlet · 20/06/2008 10:48

Well done Cod. I was about to search through your old threads to see if you had previously addressed this dilemma having spent 6 hours at Colchester Zoo on Sun in ballerina's [flat footed emoticon]

OK, so what about attractive walking sandals, do they exist?

ggglimpopo · 20/06/2008 10:49

There is a shop called Bibus in Bordeaux which sells ver chic shoes like this. The sale starts 25 June......

OverMyDeadBody · 20/06/2008 10:52

I like those.

ah now you say that i remember that about paris
when i was there it was scorching hot
i wore strappy sandals with a good sole iirc

but i was on honeymoon so was walking on air mostly

i think i would have been horrified to be seen in paris with trainers

nailpolish · 20/06/2008 11:00

but those ones in the OP i thnk are really nice and id wear them

yes they are trendy without being teenagerish

i wouldnt buy silver tho - sivler bit commonnow - white much classier (if you can get classy trainers)

the slim fit is good for flattering the ankle with shorts/capris as opposed to chunkier trainers or bad-posture-inducing flippy flops

VictorianSqualor · 20/06/2008 11:15

They are horrid.
Really Horrid.

littlerach · 20/06/2008 11:15

I have a similar pair in silver that I bought in Barcelona.

Actually I seem to remember I bough them as my flip flops were hurting my feet.

VictorianSqualor · 20/06/2008 11:15

I prefer the brown ones that were shown at the bottom.

lol, walk away from the nasty shoes cod.

SoMuchToBits · 20/06/2008 11:18

Yes, but you couldn't walk miles in those ones Victorian, they would keep slipping off your feet as there is no strap to keep them on.

VictorianSqualor · 20/06/2008 11:20

Would they?
I've always walked a lot, and never needed straps to keep my shoes on!

nailpolish · 20/06/2008 11:22

BROWN sheos?

mud brown YUK
