My hands age me!

I have a photo to share, I’m presuming it will take a wee while to get approved.

Look at the back of my hand, both hands are like this. None of my similar aged friends have hands like this. What TF is it?

Can I do anything about it?

Could you tolerate a dry mist spray SPF, @RomeoOscarXrayXray?

RomeoOscarXrayXray · 19/04/2026 21:49

@EgregiouslyOverdressedi didn’t even know that was a thing. I’ll have a look. I don’t mind putting creams on my hands but ugh, hate it on my face. I think it’s why I’ve never worn foundation or similar.

@sociableintrovert123i don’t even normally wear moisturiser.

i hate the feeling of things on my skin. Especially SPF. 🤢

I’ll look into that stuff you suggest. Ugh.

La Roche posay anthelios spf50 oil control gel feels ok on your face. Normal suncream feels really greasy on my face and gives me spots but discovering the la Roche posay was revolutionary

Yes age spots! Bastards. I use azalic
acid (sp) and tretinoin at night and mineoook much better. Still wrinklier than I'd like but I am 54 so...

This is like looking at my own hand!

I don't do anything though except they get moisturised when I use my moisturiser after the shower.

This has gone in the list of things I don't have the time, energy or inclination to sort out.

I have these on my neck and wear Hijab, so it's never exposed to the sun. I think there's an element of genetics at play too sadly.

Yes I think so. People who have freckles (like me) definitely seem prone to them.

I. 64 and have had su dpot laser and put SPF on my hands every day. I think they look ok if a bit wrinkly but then I dont have a lot of fat on me.

I posted a similar post to this last year aged 47! I got one of those small sun sticks (not the roll one but the waxy ones like wild deodrant). I keep it in my bag and by the front door and roll it over the tops of my hands before I go out. If I put normal sun cream all over my hands its sticky. Still need to reapply after washing hands but it's easier than creams.

Edited

Beauty of Joseon SPF dries unsticky :)
