Also not sure if anyone knows but the No 7 pro primer is an amazing dupe for the Bobbi Brown face base. Smells almost identical I think and is a bit thicker too so also works well as night cream. Plus can get it very cheap when you stack the offers they sometimes have on all at once.

I also got the red OPI nail varnish! I was focussed on the SdJ and the Elemis cleansing balm though and wanted to try the AB body wash so the other things are a bonus.

Jo Loves pomelo - was hoping for a citrus, love Fresh's grapefruit scent. It's very colonge and woody and after a couple of hours it's actually a bit unpleasant, like the difference between a cold can of coke and a warm can. Not a fan

Dedcool Mochi Milk from the gourmand SNK. It's nice enough but nothing to write home about. I find the dedcools all smell similar/have that same vibe.

Weird how the escentric mandarin is a smaller size to the two other escentrics. Usually they are 8.5ml but these are 7.5ml. I wonder why they changed it.

I got carried away and did a second order to get even more samples 😬 I’ve gone a bit nuts buying since I joined here which was not very long ago 🤣 It’s such a good price though isn’t it as can usually pay £3 or more per sample from other sites.

Got influenced into one of the WA HydroBalms which I tried out for the first time today. I have to say I’m a bit meh about it, it didn’t feel much like a balm to me and my lips kept drying out. Colour - Ballerine - was fine, a very mlbb so I’ll wear it but treat it much more as a normal lipstick. I’m not a fan of the casing at all, I have slim fingers and I could only just fit my fingertips around the top to wind it up and down, it would be easy to get it on your fingers by accident if you have bigger fingers. it’s an irritating design flaw imo.

Plus side of course is that I have no desire to spend that much again on any of the other colours now!😁

My ‘bargain’ LF Maison Margiela Replica arrived whilst I was out. It had been ripped open but the perfume hadn’t been stolen, presumably because it was labelled ‘Replica’ and whoever did it decided it wasn’t worth risking their job over a ‘fake’ 🙈

I would complain to RM but a) they don’t care and b) the postman knows where I live!

Is it just me who thinks that pilfering is on the rise? No one seems to bat an eyelid at all the stealing of toiletries in places like Boots and M&S. I find it all a bit depressing 😿

Anyway - I have popped it into my DIY calendar, together with the mini JM I got reduced with the CB voucher, so it’s all good.

Love the mandarin but it really doesn't last. Citrus never seem to.

@IlovePond I bought a lip liner from LF and the cardboard packet had been opened - the sort with a perforated top. Royal Mail had put an elastic band round it. I was expecting it to be empty when I saw it but I guess someone wasn't impressed by lip liner.

@IlovePond I agree that it seems to be on the rise. Packages often arrive torn apart and then taped over (I always wonder what they were hoping for, gold bars not skin serums?)

On a related note: Adult DS2 got an Amazon package recently -new phone. The delivery guy told him on the doorstep that someone at the depot had stolen it and that DS should video himself opening it in the doorway as proof the box was empty!

Now that is shocking! Absolutely brazen!!!

Some of the regulars on here may remember my escentual black friday trauma where someone in dpds warehouse had opened my pdm set and removed it, replaced it with a book ( presumably to weight it) and taped it up and then sent it on for delivery.

Luckily escentual replaced it but it must happen a lot.

Yes I remember that, it's not even opportunistic if someone is taking books to work for the purpose. Escentual CS was good, a lot of companies wouldn't have been.

The only silver lining was the book was a biography of a footballer so DH had it as an xmas present!
