Were you supposed to get free samples with yours?

Dirty Milk and Orange Crush were the reason I have ordered another 5 sets 🙈🙈 will be getting a full size of both now that I did not get the minis. Just need a good GWP offer.

Ah no sorry @HolaLolla I just checked and my samples were on two other orders. So I can’t have known about the samples when I ordered the edit as that’s the only thing in that order.

The box must be quite big for five of them - it’s awful to think they won’t turn up. Are they meant to be delivered by Evri?

I had a lovely £5 Vinted bundle turn up today - pretty much a mystery box as the photo wasn't clear and I decided to surprise myself rather than ask what was in it 😆

It included all the contents from last Novembe's Glossybox plus the QR code so I could look them all up, plus a Rodial dragons blood mask and loads of other random treats. All of them fully sealed. Very pleased with it for £5 🤷‍♀️

Edited

£5 is a great bargain!

I paid a little more for my mystery haul, but really pleased as I also got a Rodial Dragon and lots of things to try out.

It was Royal Mail, think the fact the the box is quite small is the only way I will be able to prove I did not get them, you could maybe fit 2 edits in there at a push.

I am at that dangerous point where I am just browsing SNK looking for something to buy 😬 I already ordered the LE Vega palette this morning but I’ve had one hell of a day (DC2 had a vomiting bug 😑).

If that doesn’t warrant a little treat I don’t know what does 😁

When I got my LE Betty palette I also got an LE lipgloss, I went for the ‘dancing rose’ shade, which is lovely but also very like the La Mer one that keeps showing up in BACs.

I recently got the SNK bridal edit which is nice, and a good price with 20% off! (I got it with 15% off but did also have some accounts credit so not too bad)
Edit: it’s actually called ‘I do’ edit not bridal

user593 · 23/03/2026 20:35

@Thelifeofawife Thank you! I had a look at those and they’re tempting but it’s becoming harder and harder to justify buying anything 😅 I thought maybe a hair mask but couldn’t find one that caught my eye.

OvaHere · 23/03/2026 22:26

I spent my SNK vouchers. I may regret this if they come out with a good edit in a weeks time.

I bought the RMS eye palette I posted on the first page of this thread as it was 20% off. Then despite saying I was going to wait for a discount I bought the Hourglass liquid highlighter which wasn't on sale. I want to take it on holiday though and I go in just over a week.

I took way too much make up last time I travelled so I'm trying to build a list of small products I can take but still offer a bit of versatility. I'm thinking of taking single liquid and cream shadows rather than any palettes.

I'm very bad at packing lightly. I need one of those Mary Poppins bags. Narrowing down blush is going to be the biggest challenge. What is a sensible amount - 3?

OP posts:
user593 · 23/03/2026 22:38

@OvaHere We are going away this weekend and I am already feeling slightly panicked about what to pack! I always overpack and then use about 20% of what I’ve taken and I really don’t want to do that this time. Three sounds sensible but I’d be hard pressed to pack only three myself (just off the top of my head I’m going to take all three Rhode blush but I also want to have a proper play with my underused WA blush and then there are the Merit ones…)

Thelifeofawife · 23/03/2026 23:07

Interestingly, I’d never had multiple blushes on the go, until now. For years I wore the same shade MAC blush, then when it got discontinued I trialled a few others with general disappointment. Then I loved the Hourglass blush from the 2024 SNK BAC, which I used most days, and used my Hourglass palette for nights out.
Now I use a rotation of the HG palette and 2 YSL blushes. And there are more shades of the YSL I’m liking the look of, along with the LM ones that are due to be released.

You lot really are bad influences! But I regret nothing 😁🥰

OvaHere · 23/03/2026 23:08

@user593 even as I was typing it I knew realistically it won't be 3. I'm going to try and take the more compact ones though. I've got a SNK travel bag, not sure if it's med or large but the goal is everything has to go in that - powder, setting spray the lot. Some of my fave products are too big, such as the Fenty loose powder but I have some other minis that might have to do as a replacement.

OP posts:
user593 · 23/03/2026 23:12

@OvaHere That is an honourable goal, I would really struggle with one bag! We’re going away for two weeks though, and it’s going to be hot, so realistically I can’t even see that I’ll wear much makeup 😅 Skincare will also be a problem.

OvaHere · 23/03/2026 23:18

@user593 I'm only going for a week so I feel like it's doable. If I manage it I'll try and remember to post a pic of my capsule choices. 😂

I’m going away for 5 days and am taking 2 blushes and a glowy thing. And I don’t even wear it that often!

In other news I follow a historian on insta - Dr Kate Lister - and she’s currently on a hunt for a replacement for her favourite lipstick. A brand has just sent her their entire range. And it’s almost totally immovable! It stays like nothing I have ever seen before.

It’s called Lip Ink. American but they ship worldwide. I want some SO MUCH! I am seriously considering…

@ClutteredPalace someone on here posted a pic of the set of drawers they use for their products recently-I think they were from IKEA.

If I had space, I would go for one of those as I am terrible for just shoving things in cupboards and forgetting about them!

CorneliaStreet · 24/03/2026 07:17

Every beauty YouTuber seems to have the tall Alex drawers from IKEA, often about six of them all lined up in a row!

MrsBnow12 · 24/03/2026 07:24

Eye palette question, Makeup By Mario is relaunching the Etheral Eye palette, does anyone have it and if so, is it a good palette.
I am sure I do not need another neutrals palette but this one seems to have a cult following, a bit like the Betty palette.

TragicMuse · 24/03/2026 07:45

OvaHere · 23/03/2026 23:32

@TragicMuse I've not heard of them before but it seems they have an international ebay store. Postage is £20 on one lip product though. 😬

https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/lipinkinternational/Lipstick-Collections/_i.html?store_cat=15

I would have to buy more than one to justify the shipping! Oh dear!

I saw this was being relaunched. I would like to know if it's going to be the same formulation as the original though as that was what people seemed to rave about. His most recent palette seemed to be different and was quite polarising.

Either way I definitely don't need it but will be checking to see if it's in the Sephora savings event. 😂

Thanks, I'll have a look. I may need to sacrifice a chair in my bedroom but as that is prone to being a dumping ground I think it would be worth it.

Liberty have launched a new kit today. It’s actually quite nice. I would use all of the items apart from the incense drops. I’m not sure what liberty’s obcession with these are at the moment. I will resist for now but I hope this is still around when they launch their April GWP.

I just saw the email. It looks nice but I'm in zero need of so many body products. Other than the basics I'm terrible at using body products up.

As an aside though I have been using a Morroccanoil body serum which has a similar texture to dry oil so I find it more bearable to put clothes on top off it.

I think a lot of my inability to use body creams and lotions regularly is a sensory dislike of having to get dressed on top of tackiness, even if it's just pyjamas. I find it a bit easier on holiday (or rare UK hot weather) when the uniform is shorts and a vest top.

Looks nice, I have some beauty drop and loyalty vouchers due so may have to wait until those land in my acc

IDontHateRainbows · 24/03/2026 08:18

Meanwhile. Escentual doing 25% off everything, I confess I have sinned and bought the Parfums de Marly 5 x 10ml feminine set. I love valaya and palatine especially.

Hope this one does not get interfered with by dpd .
