Can I dye my greys pink?

I have dark brown hair that's greying in areas - no substantial chunks, but a peppering of greys throughout. I'm going to grey naturally and not dye them brown, but I wondered whether there was a way to have fun with them - is there a way that I can dye my hair so that the grey bits will go, say, pink or red but the rest will stay brown? Would one of those temporary Schwarzkopf dyes do it? For context I'm about to leave teaching after 20 years of good behaviour and I think I'm having a mid-life rebellion...! (Also it needs to be temporary as at heart I'm deeply conventional and it probably won't suit me...)

I use rose gold coloured hair mascara on my white hairs in the front. It’s obviously temporary but I like it as it also holds my hair in place. Hair spray on top helps it to last longer.
It might be worth a try to see if you like the look without having to commit to it.

You could experiment with some pink hair chalk or spray to see how it would look.

I use Bleach London semipermanent dye on my grey hair. I wouldn’t recommend the palest shades as they don’t show up unless you have bleached hair.

This photo is 4 weeks since I coloured mine.

I wanted to do this but I was told the dye doesn't stick to grey hair as easily as it does other colours. I was also told 'fun' colours only last about a month.
They weren't the answers I wanted, so I'm interested if a hairdresser tells you this can be done!

I’ve had my hair bleached and died pink. It’s lasted a month. It’s now faded really badly. (Had it done at the hairdressers)

I use this! It's temporary but does last a good few washes. It sticks to my grey hair more than my not grey bits so it's quite fun.

I did it! I used the Schwarzkopf Live bright pink one. There was a definite pink tinge but it was gone in 4 washes, and I have to say it washed out of my greys even quicker than the brown! I also did a superb job of dyeing my scalp and I'm not sure how to avoid that. Still, it was really fun and got it out of my system - I'll definitely do it again with another colour. Maybe blue?

If you're using directions type dye, you can put some in your shampoo so that when you wash your hair it deposits a bit of colour each time. It's cheaper than buying colour depositing shampoo/conditioner.

You can make your own blonde shampoo in the same way, by using purple dye.

Obviously don't do this with the type of dye you have to mix.

Crazy colour definitely shows up on my grey hair. It’s true to the box and lasts really well if you wash with cool water. I’ve used pink and purple and aubergine and all of them are really vibrant
