This is the thread where we are all bright orange from Vitamin C overload. Luckily we have a truck load of Bronze Primer to cover it up. 😂

Last thread was probably another speed run record. Let's hope there's no March Madness. We're in need of a break.😳

As always anyone welcome to join and contribute. Although you shouldn't if you know what's good for you. 😉

Wow, that’s absurd! Zero temptation at that price point. I was expecting around the £30 -£40 mark.

😁 edited to be more realistic.

Edited

I thought it might be £50-55 as WA is expensive but not £75

@Thelifeofawife - I have my settings fixed so I only sell to mainland UK. I did this after problems trying to send something to the Channel Islands!

However, I find that nowadays I have to constantly check my listings to make sure that eBay hasn’t decided to ‘improve’ them behind my back and offer international shipping.

I have also set my postage to RM only, but eBay’s misnamed ‘simple delivery’ has a nasty habit of defaulting to Evri - which is why I had to cancel an order recently because eBay gave the buyer a choice in error.

Ebay’s new and unimproved system also sometimes defaults to offering buyers collection on my items. I do not want people coming round to my house to collect a perfume!

I swear whatever system they have in place over at eBay has a mind of its own 🙀

This is putting me off selling on Ebay 🤣

user593 · 07/03/2026 10:10

@IlovePond Why do you avoid Evri? I’ve made about 40 sales on eBay recently and Evri is consistently cheaper. I’ve only had one issue (damage in transit) and eBay refunded the buyer without deducting the cost from me I (assume) because Simple Delivery comes with insurance.

Doglover73 · 07/03/2026 10:16

@IlovePond
Rules me out. I dont own a laptop. Just use my phone. 🤪

Tried to take a screenshot off TikTok…

How much is it on Tik Tok? It was £60 via JL website but it is showing out of stock now. Weird they are selling via TT only now

user593 · 07/03/2026 10:50

@HolaLolla Still £60. It’s not up for sale yet though.

user593 · 07/03/2026 10:52

Very keen on the new Rhode Pocket Blush in Teacup and Lip Glaze in Pretzel, just wish it wasn’t almost impossible to get a discount on Rhode 😭

It might be in Sephora's twice yearly savings event. There will be one in spring/summer. I find the same with MBM, the brand is always excluded from other discounts.

Hi @user593 - I have had problems with Evri in the past so I will not use them. I also hate the idea of buyers picking and choosing - I want to set the postage, (I sell ridiculously cheap anyway), and not go back later and find eBay have changed my parameters without my permission - it’s so annoying.

user593 · 07/03/2026 11:36

@IlovePond That makes sense. I offer free shipping so am always happy when it seemingly defaults to the cheaper option!

psuedocream3 · 07/03/2026 12:06

I was hoping to use my CB account credit for the WA edit but not a chance at that price. I should have got the fragrance edit whilst the discount code worked against it.

My London Grace order arrived, I'm quite happy for the price although I cant testify for the quality as I've set them aside for gifts. Would be interested what others think?

IlovePond · 07/03/2026 12:38

My CB perfume samples have arrived and the mini shower gel. I got upgraded to NDD for some reason, but not complaining!

The Lola is weird - I was a bit taken aback by the condom wrapper packaging, (but I suppose that is all part of the ‘cool’ branding - which just annoys me 😹)

I don’t absolutely hate it, like I do the other Discotheque perfumes, but it’s very heavy and making me sneeze. I will see how it settles.

I am, however, thrilled with my bargain samples. Thanks @OvaHere for the info and to @keepincool for helping me out. I am looking forward to trying the rest.

The Nest 3ml is in a beautiful little box and is a rollerball like the one in the CB GWP. It would make a nice little stocking filler.

marchduck · 07/03/2026 13:11

Rituals have a nice members gift this weekend for £50 spend, full size shower foam in new fragrance and pouch. I love their shower foams and nice to try the new one

It's going to be £75 for the WA edit, worth £95. Are they having a laugh?! 🤣 I think I'll just save my money.

Just came over to see if this had been mentioned, absolute insanity for an edit where you don't get to pick the items/shades 😂 it would be better to just get what you want with 20% off (which is available somewhere pretty much all the time)

I added everything separately (minus the mirror which isn't for sale) to a basket and the BDCB code takes it to £86.40 - only reduces the lit up stick and mascara not the contour or blush.

You're supposed to get another mini highlighter added with an £85 spend on the brand but it doesn't seem to be adding it.

At £75 it is still a bigger saving than the discount codes I've tried but I guess you have to want all those items and shades.

I'm still vaguely considering it as I have a £5 voucher and possibly a discount code will work. I'm only really interested in the contour and the blush so selling on the other stuff might recoup £20-25.

If a discount code doesn't work on it I'd potentially only be saving £5 at best on the RRP of the blush and contour and have the faff of selling the other items.

So I think if there's a working code I might buy. If not it isn't worth it.

Lots of offers in John Lewis as pp mentioned 😊

I tried the Estée Lauder double wear, and ended up purchasing ((I actually did need a new foundation!), this was 20% off @ £29.62, but they had a free primer offer, the lovely assistant also gave me a free sponge and I had a reward on my card to try the night repair.

Will report back.

I’m not even pretending to be low buy anynore.

I also got a top in Zara and teen DD had a Hollister and Waterstones spree 😊 I hope she likes hanging out with my forever 🥰

We also tried these new lip balms which were lovely - would have purchased one on the spot 😳 but they didn’t yet have stock.

We tried the top one which had a lovely shimmer.

I'm wearing the new DL again today. I do really like it. Wish I'd hung on for the free primer and sponge offer but I guess that's how it goes.

I think there's a bit of a learning curve in applying. I feel like it benefits from a primer, tried the Huda one and a sachet of EL primer today. It also does need setting a bit with powder which I generally do anyway.

My only complaint is that despite all prep and powder it does stay slightly tacky. Not in a transfer type way, it does dry down to be transfer proof. Tbh I only notice it because I wear reading glasses. Even with powdering it 'tacks' to the plastic frame and I feel like I adjust my glasses more often because of it.

I don’t normally use a sponge. I use a brush. Is a sponge better? I’m not sure I’d get the hang of a sponge.

Ill see how I get on but don’t like the idea of tacky, I did get the Matt primer rather than the moisturising one, so hopefully that will help.

I’m so sorry you missed out on the offer.

Hmm perhaps a sign I should no buy, I knew I had one or two Westman Atelier items somewhere, but I just found a full size Chouchette, Coquette and Petal and a mini Nectar at the bottom of a box I keep hair things in! They must have been there for a year at least 😑

IlovePond · 07/03/2026 16:12

Hi,

25% off some things at CB with code: SHOP

Hicupping · 07/03/2026 16:27

The £10 CB voucher works on ouai mists too. Might get Melrose.
WA is daft, I've already got nectar plus 4 other blushes so not a great loss though but still.
Weird for JL to only sell on TT for a mothers day £60 edit.
Realised I could pop to SNK for the kit don't think I can be bothered plus picked up one of my basket items on CB.

Been using the AoS cleanser and whilst it's very nice and you only need a small amount so it will last but not really seeing any impact to justify £40. It cleans nicely, doesn't clog (looking at you elemis balm) and doesn't strip, whilst good for £40 isn't enough.

Didn't like the 3T Zelens cream (thinking it's the vit c which I'm suspecting my skin has decided it no longer likes). But am liking the melatonin mask which I've been using as day and night moistruisers. Goes on matt. No spots and goes well with Kisocares 15% azelaic.
