I am a regular seller and buyer on Vinted, I have been asked to provide proof of purchase before for items and say in my posts if is available for things that are often faked, gives both parties peace of mind.
When buying I look at the other items people are selling and their reviews and then decide.

I'd never bought on Vinted until January. I just checked and I've done 45 orders since then 🙈

In my defence I'm completely overhauling all my skincare and makeup so doing lots of trials to find my new HGs of everything. In my mind once I've found them all I'll just stop buying. It will happen one day, I'm sure...

I'm quite good at not spending Vinted money. I don't tend to buy a lot there outside of advent season. I think it's mostly because if I get it in my head I want something I don't want to wait a week or more for it to be posted then Yodel faff about with it for days. 😂

I also provide proof, although a good faker would easily be able to buy and return the real product just to get the receipt so I always think it's only proof that the seller has bought that particular item before not that the item being sold is real!

I quite like having the surprise when it finally arrives and I've forgotten about it 🤣

Has anyone tried the Glossier dotcom lip balm? Or any other recommendations for tube lip balms? I fancy trying a new one. I’ve already tried the Laneige glowy, Summer Fridays and Ole Henricksen.

My cult beauty order has already arrived , they are so fast! Nice treat for when i get home after first day back at work after a break.

Cult Beauty have given me £10 credit as a consolation for cancelling 2 of my orders. The credit can be used alongside discount codes - I might forgive them as I should also have a birthday voucher soon to add to the tenner.

It's worth complaining about cancelled orders if you haven't done so.

Thanks for the Vinted info @OvaHere . I tend to stick to sellers with good reviews and photos that have similar backgrounds (i.e. where you can tell the product has been photographed somewhere in the home and they have other items for sale with the same background).

I'm also fairly new to Vinted and learning as I go along.

On the perfume front - be careful if anyone wants to sell the Ataratma discovery set from the PS deluxe box - my listing was pulled on the grounds that it was either a sample, tester, or promotional item not intended for sale. My argument that the set is available for sale at £50 on the Ataratma website fell on deaf ears.

Edit: other sellers have had more luck than me listing the set though, as there are some for sale on Vinted.

If anyone wanted the medik8 or other things in the cult beauty GWP, I've spotted a couple of complete sets on vinted from pro sellers already this morning for £24.99 - worth a look if you didn't want to spend £100

K18 is a common one. I got stung on Vinted with a fake one. She pretended she was selling one on that her sister had gifted her (I subsequently saw that she was selling about 6 of them though.....)

K18 themselves have done a good reel/Tiktok on what to look out for and this hit every marker on there. I was kicking myself but I got my money back and am very wary about buying products on Vinted now. Looking at what they're selling and multiple items of the same thing is a no for me, I'd rather not risk it.

I do wonder about the pro sellers with the Cult Beauty gwp’s, I followed one for a while and they must have had over 100 of the gwp’s to sell. Just wondering how they get so many etc - welcome thoughts on it.

I haven't found any yet. What are you using as a search term? Vinted searches are very random sometimes.

I lso ordered a butter blush which was on sale to get free delivery. It looks very dark but goes on quite lightly.

I'm very curious too, I just saw one list 10 of the current GWP as a bundle 🤔

@Willow742 Thanks for the heads up! I did get the GWP which is arriving today, but it’s worth getting another for the Medik8 for the sake of £30 (well, £25 plus fees & postage)

@OvaHere I tried searching an item but didn’t see one, then tried ‘cult beauty’ and found one - there’s probably others, I just got the first one I saw

They came up on my suggestions, but if you search 'discover the glow' there are two users who are listing them (and relisting each time they sell)

@Thelifeofawife - I offered £22.99 on the CB bundle and it was accepted - they might take lower offers.

I just went straight for it, wish I’d put in an offer now because I’ve just done a search for @OvaHere and noticed the same seller has listed another, so probably would take offers!
The seller is ‘fairy flips’ - they are a pro seller

@MrsBnow12 I imagine they list them, and then buy them afterwards with free next day delivery to then post on.

Yes please @Thelifeofawife- let me know who you are on Vinted, I'd much rather buy from someone on here! (And even if not for the SF for the future)
