We set a record with the last thread. Just 2 weeks from start to finish!!!!

So here's the new one and we're now in double digits.

As always everyone is welcome to join even if you've just been lurking, but like those kids on the back of the school bus your Mum warned you about, we are a bad influence.... 😈

@namechange0998776554799000 I think you’re right about checking your stash before deciding to purchase something… @OvaHere I’ve just found a YSL love shine in nude lavalliere - which I think came in one of last years JL beauty boxes 🙈 So, after my impulse buy a few days ago, I now have 2 of them!! 😅

On the plus side, I did find a few other bits that I’m going to get rid of.

I also found the Roja Elysium perfume I’d bought months ago and forgotten about - I’d not even opened it/tested it 😅 Just spayed some now; the jury is out

IlovePond · 22/02/2026 14:50

Thanks @Willow742 that’s helpful. I don’t think I am interested in any of that, (which is just as well!)

BakeOffRewatch · 22/02/2026 15:05

Is this the stackers box that boots are selling? Ihttps://www.johnlewis.com/stackers-make-up-organiser/taupe/p6228070 Had anyone received the BootsxStackers edit, what’s the quality like? https://www.boots.com/no7-x-stackers-best-of-beauty-collection-10364635

IlovePond · 22/02/2026 15:12

@BakeOffRewatch - it’s the same model, but I think the Boots one is in the pink colour.

IlovePond · 22/02/2026 15:15

Re: Quality

I wasn’t that impressed by the quality of the Stackers make up organisers for the amount they cost, (and I noticed the finish was much better on some on the shelf than others).

However, imo, the Boots is a good deal if you are going to use at least some of the products too, (which I definitely will).

I’ve been thinking about selling some of the scent I got in the perfume society bonkersness last December. I’m solidly a chypre girl and most of the florals are way too sweet for me so I’ll never wear them.

Some are listed by others people for under £5 so the big question is can I be bothered for a couple of quid?

Is it worth it?

It’s definitely worth it if you won’t use them, it all adds up.
You could consider doing a bundle of 2-3 of some of the cheaper ones

user593 · 22/02/2026 15:58

Does anyone have Westman Atelier Butter Bronzer? Specifically Coupe de Soleil? I’ve just found one - unused - in my stash and not sure whether to keep or sell!

TragicMuse · 22/02/2026 16:01

Oh that’s a good idea @Thelifeofawife thanks!

HolaLolla · 22/02/2026 16:03

If any of you need that extra push towards CB GWP, AFFCNY code seems to take 25% off. Obvs not as good as Wayne whoever code, but since my order was cancelled and there was some stuff that was a need rather than want I had to suck it up and repurchase 😬

JoRaRaRa · 22/02/2026 17:00

Thelifeofawife · 21/02/2026 21:21

@JoRaRaRa I can’t cope with all these offers, I keep wanting to buy things that I know I don’t actually need! I have no willpower now, I just keep thinking ‘well it is nearly my birthday’ 😅

I think your birthday is a good enough reason to buy buy buy 😍 It's only once a year and then you can be more refrained for the rest of the year 💁🏻‍♀️

JoRaRaRa · 22/02/2026 17:07

Addictedtobeauty · 21/02/2026 21:08

Tricky dilemmas with the blushes atm. I want a pink and a coral. I have the Gucci ones in my basket on CB. GWP is decent but I’d need to buy more stuff. Now the YSL on offer at LF. And the blush desire started with the Dior sets at Christmas that I didn’t buy (wa Ted that pink). Anyone tried all three? The YSL packaging is so beautiful. Is the top cushioned leatherette or plastic?

I have 3 dior blushers. 2 are really nice, but then I got one of the newer ones at the end of last year and I struggle to build up the colour. It's put me off buying any more. I tend to reach for the ysl ones more then the dior, I just find them nicer and easier to use. I've not yet tried the gucci blush.

I appreciate your optimism, but I had that mindset about the advent calendars 😅🙈

I do need to be a bit more restrained though, after my £100 CB purchase this morning, I treated myself to a new handbag “well, it is nearly my birthday” 🤣🤣

It’s a good job I don’t have a credit card, otherwise I would be even worse 😅

Thelifeofawife · 22/02/2026 17:18

I just had an image of Shirley Valentine giving her neighbours dog her husbands steak, and he had egg & chips. This will be me soon, we will be living off beans on toast but I’ll be glowing and smelling fabulous 🙈🤣🤣🤣

LoveLabradors · 22/02/2026 17:25

I looked at my stash of blushers and it really calmed my thoughts of missing out on the Gucci. I have several unused ones and it made me feel a bit queasy about overbuying. The coral sweed blush from the bargain CB holiday edit is gorgeous and I’m quite sure as good as the Gucci fresh coral. I need to spend some time looking at all unused things I have and stop buying any more!

IlovePond · 22/02/2026 17:35

I’ve just had a bit of a tidy up of one shelf in advance of the Stackers box arriving. If I keep tidying up other things, it should fit on one shelf in my cupboard as I finally got round to measuring!

In doing so, I found a couple of items for the charity shop (not makeup/skincare), a few things to throw away and a miniature Jo Malone bath oil that I think was a lockdown freebie from a JL/Jo Malone zoom event. (Those events were great - I wish they hadn’t stopped them!) I had totally forgotten about it, so that’s gone in the bathroom because, ime, bath stuff virtually never goes off!

Doing this has reminded me- once again - that I do NOT need to buy more stuff🙀

Oops. I guess you can return the newer one?

Agree about Dior. I bought one last year and was really disappointed with it.

I haven't gone for the CB gwp as yet. Trying to be good.

I did consider that but decided to keep it as it was a set with mascara in, and that has good reviews.
I’ll try the love shine and if I don’t think I’ll use a second one I’ll pop it on Vinted, otherwise I have it waiting in the wings. They are both small sizes rather than full size.

The only way to find out is to see what they are going for on vinted/ ebay. Some of the better known brands/ bigger sizes= yes.

Smaller samples from brands people haven't heard of probably not.

Hmm look what happened last time you said that 🤔
( i ended up in covent garden buying a lot of fragrance!)

No regrets....

Our local charity shop, (for a children’s hospice) puts out ‘lucky bags’ of skincare, unused makeup and beauty/bath products. They put them in posh bags with lots of tissue paper and seal them up, so it’s a surprise. £5 each.

I’ve donated a few unwanted things and the manager says the bags are amazingly popular.

Thelifeofawife · 22/02/2026 18:43

@Sminty2 That's a great idea! I have some clothes to take to the charity shop so I’ll see if any of my local ones do something like this
