Vinted - Massive Price Increases

I'd taken a break from Vinted for a few months and had a browse this evening in preparation for a warm holiday.

I'm really surprised to see a big increase in prices - not for sellers who are obviously selling fakes (eg multiple versions of the same item, brand new) but seemingly normal sellers with items for sale at virtually the same price as buying new eg a dress from Zara 'new without tags' but with a picture of the sellers wearing it out for £40. This seems to be very different to just a few months ago.

Equally I've seen a number of sellers with 'new, with tags' items for sale for a few hundred pounds, well in excess of the price of a new River Island/H&M dress. Are others seeing the same and what's driving this? For the very inflated prices, is this a scam? They seem to have been favourites many times.

Not my experience at all. I just bought a 100% silk All Saints dress for a tenner. Filter to low prices and you'll find what you want at a low price.

I buy and sell a lot of Never Fully Dressed items and seen so much stuff there that’s priced above the current website price.

Even worn once (allegedly) items being sold for about £10 less than the original price (and far higher than the items are now in the sale).

I price my items way below what others list for and always sell within 24 hours (sometimes literally minutes)
