Help! Estee lauder double wear has changed... and it's awful!

Hello ,
Just as the title says really.
I've used Estee Lauder double wear for 20 years.
I opened a new bottle today and the formula has completely changed. It's more runnier and just doesn't cover well at all.
I'm genuinely gutted . It was my absolute beauty staple.
Can anyone recommend any other good foundations please as I'm going to have to search for another one!

Oh no! I just opened a new bottle but it must be old stock as it’s fine. Following for replacement recommendations though.

Is yours in the new designed bottle? I’m currently trolling the internet for old stock.

@crackadawn yes , it's in the newly designed bottle!
First sign that something had changed was when I turned the bottle upside down to empty some out and absolutely loads ran out! I thought maybe I'd left it somewhere hot near a radiator , but I hadn't.
Absolutely gutted 😢

Mine is in an old bottle. I got it from Look Fsntastic about a fortnight ago.

I wonder if their bb cream is the same

There was a thread about this about a week ago. There were quite a few replacement suggestions on there but most agreed the new formula is awful…

Depending on your shade allbeauty have the old stock in . Most of us have stocked up. Look fantastic have the new one as I bought it there about 10 days ago.

They've discontinued the Sheer version,can't get hold of it anywhere. I've also used it for years. I've bought an old formula from All Beauty ,it arrived today.

I'm trialling Loreal Truematch ,it's pretty good. Going to get Revlon Colourstay tomorrow as that's is meant to be a dupe for DW, I used it years ago and it has good staying power.

I had used double wear for years and years but since reaching my mid 30s i found it too drying (I know this is besides the point)

I have been using NARS light reflecting now and really like it

I found L’Oréal true match today. Think it’s a good one to try currently while I hunt out old formula. Fingers crossed. Also heard Mac is a good dupe too

Oh no! I had to buy a new bottle the other day and sales assistant said it had changed. She filled a small sample bottle in my shade and told me try it before opening the bottle in case I didnt like it. I havent tried it yet as still using old one up.
very helpful of her given the comments above. At least I’ll be able to return it if I don’t like it!

I got a small sample of the new type from Boots. First day today and the coverage is disappointing and has stayed clammy all day. I’m dreading the expensive search for a replacement.

I tried new formula today. Going against the grain but i quite like it. Will see how stacks up as I go about my day.

@MrsCarmelaSoprano I thought it had better coverage and lasted well all day. I actually prefer it and was complemented on it by my co-worker 😊

Oh wow, I definitely need to try it hope it's the same for me.

I've been using double wear for 15 years now. It's the only foundation that holds up on my oily skin. This new formula claims to be 36 hour oil control. Well I managed 2 hours before my face was an oil slick. By the time I got to work my face was as shiny as a mirror. I have had to blot my face every hour today to keep shine at bay. In fairness it hasn't transferred much onto tissue when I have blotted but it's no longer a foundation for me, it just doesn't hold up any more and I'm devastated. I dread to think what it would be like in the heat of summer! I'm all for change if it improves a product but this is just like any other foundation now. I have gone back to revlon colour stay for oily skin as that's the next best for oil control now that double wear has crashed and burned on an all day wear test. Plus point is it's much cheaper too.

Oh no,that's awful and the whole point is it lasts all day !

I really want to try the new version now as the old one was too matt for me.

if you have a makeup company outlet by you such as Bicester village this will be old stock. They always have double wear.
