Help my style my dress

Hello everyone

Is anyone able to help me style the linked dress? I’ll be wearing it to a wedding in a couple of weeks time, so very much a winter wedding. I love the dress! It’s comfortable, I can dance in it and it suits my new(ish) mum body.

I originally had my heart set on a different dress but it looked awful on. That dress would have looked amazing with blush pink accessories so I spent quite a lot of time researching those and am now struggling to see beyond that. So, would you stick with blush for this dress or perhaps for dark pink or silver or something else entirely?

For reference, I am 5 foot 8 and a size 12. I’d be looking to buy a bag (I've loved the pouch style recently), shoes, a coat or jacket, jewellery and perhaps something for my hair/head. I don’t want strappy shoes as it will be cold and probably wet!

If anyone can advise it would be much appreciated and bonus points for links to products I can buy! 😁

What a gorgeous dress! I would wear big statement earrings but no necklace or bracelets etc, and I. Think metallic shoes but I will have a little search.

I'm thinking of buying this from Next - Burgundy Red Standard/Wide Fit Standard Chisel Toe Block Courts
https://www.next.co.uk/style/SU402136/F24652

or these, pulling the darker pink out and making it feel more “winter”

I think silver, like the model wears is right for this dress. It’s quite statementy by itself. The dress does its own talking, so the accessories need to be very much background.

SkelatorIamNot · 30/01/2026 07:22

I love that dress! I wouldn’t go OTT on the accessories as the dress is quite a statement on its own.

Love the Esskas and the green ASOS ones

That would look great with Esska shoes. I’d wear in a bright colour.

As the dress is busy, I’d keep jewellery very minimalist, probably just earrings.

Wow, these are beautiful. Thank you.

Yes, I think silver is where my head is going now. My “dress” watch is silver so that will tie together.

Thanks. It’s really beautiful up close but arrived incredibly creased so will need a good steam. I ordered it as a back up much much preferred it to the ones I thought I would love 🥰

I don't think you need any jewels other than earrings because the dress is the statement and the neckline too detailed for a necklace. Will get all too fussy, the dress is the main show and it's gorgeous! Good choice. Same as with anything in your hair, make it subtle, no hairbands or anything.

Simple clutch too would be perfect but shoes is difficult, being muddy. Good luck with that side!

BitOutOfPractice · 30/01/2026 09:51

What a gorgeous dress op. I often dread clicking on a link on these sort of threads but that’s a beaut!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/01/2026 09:53

A short faux fur jacket would be cute with it.

These are gorgeous. I saw someone wearing the light colour with jeans a few months ago and had to find them online as they looked so lovely! I haven't bought them but now tempted all over again!

Also, stunning dress OP. I prefer it when the bag and shoes don't match (for some reason) so I'd go with the green shoes and a silver bag. Maybe something like this: https://katieloxton.com/arden-braided-top-handle-bag-in-silver-klb4204?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=1943742862&gbraid=0AAAAADE0JRo7cGZ3Pww-KDQQRs2Eob5_h&gclid=Cj0KCQiAyvHLBhDlARIsAHxl6xqWq23448yWHqm982nBy03z-v7XBkQQQXvHJm1tYp0sN142T-2gkCgaAgZMEALw_wcB

Oh definitely work with the green. That will look so much more interesting IMO, as well as being a colour that doesn't scream "wedding" so can be worn/ used again more afterwards.

What's especially lovely about that dress is that they've bothered to embroider the back too.

wishingonastar101 · 30/01/2026 14:47

Super frumpy so avoid stole, cardigan, clutch, block heels, chunky earrings...

Agreed. Low key shoes that could be worn again.

DaphneduM · 30/01/2026 16:32

That dress is beautiful! Definitely go for understated shoes and clutch - maybe green for one and metallic for the other.

Well it might look frumpy on you but given the OP is a new mum she is going to be young enough (and slim enough) to look on trend and fashionable in it.

OP ignore the rude poster - it looks like a lovely statement dress. I would go with silver earrings and watch and green shoes and either a green or silver bag. Both of my DD's have decided to chanel Claudia WInkleman in the Traitors and bought green capes with arm slits that would work well over that dress as you don't want to crush the sleeves into a coat if they are going to crumple as it would spoil the effect. Zara, Karen Millen and Ted Baker have all done them in the last couple of years so there ought to be some floating around on vinted or ebay. An alternative might be a short faux fur cape to keep your shoulders warm in a green - there are usually a few on resale sites.

NovemberMorn · 30/01/2026 17:18

It's a gorgeous dress, and on a tall slim woman (like the OP) it will look great.
Personally I would opt for silver, daintier heels, and earrings....no other jewellery required really.

GarlicBound · 31/01/2026 01:49

The green shoes were an inspired choice; shame they don't have your size. I think the silver shoes in the photos are a poor choice, but the Esskas could be good in green or smoke.

The model's earrings work well, referencing the floral motif. These are rather lovely, though perhaps not enough of a statement?

A jacket's going to be difficult with your flowing sleeves. A cape might be best - see here; there's a brown and two deep reds, which should work with the dress and shoes.

So, that's quite a lot still to buy to go with the dress! For a coat or jacket, I'd get a really beautiful wool wrap coat (or maybe jacket, but a coat will be more elegant). One that you will wear lots again, so that might influence the colour. You could go for a blue-toned pink?

Wrap coats tend to be looser in the sleeve than more fitted ones, so you'll be able to fit the sleeves inside without crushing them. I think the sugared almond mauve pink of the Jigsaw one is lovely (I have it in an older version in emerald green & really really love it!!!). To me it's the best shade - a bit stronger than the dress. The Phase Eight one is a little too blush, the H&M nice but a coat would be better I think.
