It looks like they have turned off the code as I placed an order earlier and it only worked on the full price items not the lucky dip.

Better dips is very subjective though. Like an idiot I tried 4 x to get an umbrella. I could have just bought one of my choosing FFS. I did sell three on a cost so mostly got my money back.

I caved and bought a Lucky Gem. My Shop has just updated saying I'm getting a Bond Pocket Crossbody in Tulip which is right up my street! It better not change!! 🥴

I think if you don't get a bag, you haven't got a good dip. I would never think .... I need an umbrella or hat, I'm off to try Roka!
I totally get that it is subjective though.

My gems have updated now and I've got two bags - a Stratford and a Chelsea. I'm delighted and glad I redipped. If I had to niggle, they are the same colour (blue).

This is how they get you. I've seen people doing 10-15 dips to get a Gatwick when they are for sale on some sites for £60 and Vinted for £50 - surely they end up spending £35 plus £15 postage in the pursuit and could have just bought one!

How long did yours take to update yorkshiretoffee? I'm just bought 2 gems and wouldn't mind a hat or an umbrella!

Right, made my mind up, I'm sticking with what I have and am not going to do another LD. I'm after a Chelsea B so will have a roam around Vinted or Ebay and see if anything comes up rather than take a chance and maybe getting another hat!

I bought them yesterday evening and they updated this afternoon. Now of course I'm scared they'll update again, last time I missed the first update, which would have suited me better than what I got.
I wish I could "stick" with these now - not a hat or umbrella in sight!

From last year I have a small bantry and a bayswater (quite a lot bigger than the bantry). Now I've got a Trafalgar tote. I've also got a Bond crossbody which wasn't in the LD. So all told that's a perfect sized x-body to hold purse, phone etc; a smaller backpack, good for days out; a bigger one which takes all the baby stuff when I'm on grannie duty; and a tote which I'll use on city breaks when I don't want to carry stuff on my back.

I don't want a hat or socks or an umbrella, I don't want a purse or a round or crescent shaped bag, or a giant duffel or tote. So I think I can safely say that my current roka collection ticks all the boxes that I needed ticked!

According to the ROKA website, the LD is finishing on Monday.

Last year it went on for weeks, with extra promotions added as time went by.

I can’t help but think that ROKA weren’t originally going to bother with LD this year, (after the generous BF deals and the Xmas sale), but decided to go for a quick LD boost to sales at the last minute.

I can’t think of any other reason why they would stop it so quickly, without even a free shipping incentive in the last few days. (In fact, by removing the discounts, the LD has actually got more expensive and therefore less attractive as the sale has progressed!)

I was dithering over whether to order a Treasure but the withdrawal of the discount put me off. A free delivery weekend would probably have persuaded me to take the plunge.

As it is, I am thinking that if I bought now but didn’t like my LD, it would be too late to order a replacement, plus it would have been cheaper a couple of days ago.

I’m hoping that the highly-inflated prices on eBay drop soon due to a glut in the market - if so, I will probably buy something from there.

My lucky gems havent updated but these are what I wanted. Probably means I have the gray bag did and they'll be a hat and an umbrella

@IlovePond I guessed it would end this weekend. Previously lucky dip ran from Boxing Day to end of January so with the sale and this they have just combined 2 offers into one promo period. Still not convinced they won't do something on the last day with free postage and/or free extras but I'm hoping not as I've spent too much. Already cancelled what was going to be my last order as they were sending duplicates out (ANOTHER military tonal canfield anyone!😂) They instantly refunded my card payment which is great but part of the order was paid for with store credit which so far hasn't been returned

It's a great way for them to get rid of really old stock but don't think it's great for the customers. I had a pre production sample sent from 2023. What business is keeping these things 2-3 years? Why has that stock not been cleared through in previous years lucky dips.

Also last order that arrived contained 3 of the mid size. I could tell before opening any of the grey bags they were all the same style (ordered multiple in one go to try and get a variety) and 2 of the 3 once opened were identical. I know pickers cant see what colour is inside grey poly bags but they absolutely knew they were sending 3 of the same style which is disappointing (they all went back)

Are the items in the grey bags the oldest stuff then do you reckon? Agree it's a bit much to send three of the same style, or three of the same colour.

I’ve managed to sell/swap my LD bags which weren’t my style, but I am hovering over the “buy” button over the next few days in case there are extra offers/discounts.
I don’t think they’ll extend it as they’re already advertising for valentines and a new changebag they’re releasing, so this will be it until the next big one (Black Friday?)

@Computadora they usually do something at Easter but usually limited styles/colours

I think February onwards there is definitely new stuff coming ... they had lots of stripes/different prints on show at Top Drawer in January so Easter will be a good time to clear out older stock again

My 2nd pick I got the grey plastic bags. I think those are all previous dip bags that are no longer in the online stock system, hence not showing me what style was allocated in the Shop app.

I assume whilst they sell a lot they will also get loads of returns so they get stored for a future dip. It would be easier for the pickers and everyone else if they were stored in clear plastic bags - less duplicates - less returns.

They've kept doing the lucky dip so I assume, even accounting for returns, it must be worth it compared to other stock clearance options e.g whatever TKMaxx will pay to buy in bulk (not much I suspect).

I enjoy taking part for the fun even though I know logically it's not a smart way to shop. 😂

That’s true - although I’ll probably fall for the new stuff and be spending again regardless!

I’m hoping they’ll bring out a washbag or similar that I’ve seen some people get on the lucky dip…

Interesting about the grey plastic bags. My treasure dip came in a grey bag and I hadn't been able to see what I was getting. It was a pre production 2023 sample small Canfield B. I'm really pleased with it but likewise I did question why I was getting something from 2023 when I assumed the dips would come from recent stock or samples (ie last year). Conversely my gem dip was a Bedford hat which came in the normal ROKA bag and had tags.

Would anyone swap a medium gatwick for a used (very good condition) red canvas large finchley (not from LD) plus a small cash uplift?

They are updating the app and the emails but it is taking about 24 hours because of the large volumes of orders. I ordered Thursday, it updated yesterday and is arriving today. All of my previous items had updated stock almost as soon as I ordered but Roka confirmed it is taking a lot longer. Just volumes. The order should update once it has been processed
